Dr. Streff is responsible for designing, building and commercializing technology and cybersecurity solutions for the U.S. banking system, preparing them for nationwide rollout.

Before his current role, Dr. Streff served for over two decades at Dakota State University, from 2002 to 2024, as a professor of cybersecurity. During his tenure, he developed a cybersecurity program from the ground up, earning national recognition as a center of excellence from both the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security. The program grew to enroll approximately 1,500 students, including two doctoral programs, and established 13 research laboratories funded by federal, state and industry partners. He attributes his achievements to a combination of rigorous educational preparation, an unwavering work ethic and strategic thinking that enables him to anticipate technological trends. Dr. Streff emphasizes entrepreneurial risk-taking as a key factor in his career trajectory—balancing faculty responsibilities while launching businesses required significant dedication and calculated risk management. He remains committed to improving access to banking services for underbanked communities and strongly supports maintaining vibrant local banks in technology-driven economies.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Streff is civically engaged through organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and United Way. He has participated in mission trips to Ecuador, Mexico and other locations, reflecting his dedication to service beyond his immediate field.
