He began his career in securities at H.D. Vest Investment Securities Inc., gaining foundational experience in investment products and regulatory compliance.

A significant portion of Mr. Carden's career was spent as a partner at Gibson & Carden CPAs in Troy, Alabama, from 1980 to 2016.
