From 2009 to 2012, Mr. Echeverria owned and led LMCG Enterprises LLC, directing business operations and strategic initiatives after two years as the president and owner of Southern Dreams Bedding LLC from 2007 to 2009. His earlier career includes serving as vice president of manufacturing at King Koil from 2008 to 2011 and at Serta Mattress Company from 1996 to 2009. At Serta Mattress Company, he rose from an entry-level position to oversee operations for 32 plants across the United States and Canada. His responsibilities included extensive travel to audit facilities and ensure strict adherence to brand specifications until the company's acquisition prompted his resignation.

Before entering the mattress industry, Mr. Echeverria worked with Duo-Fast Corporation after joining Spanax Corporation in Shelbyville, Indiana, in 1989. He began his professional journey managing his father's staple and nail manufacturing business in Venezuela following the completion of his education.

Before entering the workforce, Mr. Echeverria earned a bachelor's degree in Operations Management with a minor in marketing from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, California in 1980. His academic background provided a strong foundation for his subsequent achievements in manufacturing and operations management. The principles of integrity instilled in him by his father have been central to his career success; he is known for honoring commitments without exception and believes that personal character outweighs material gain. Additionally, his deeply held faith has guided him through professional challenges and accomplishments alike.

Born in Caracas in 1954, Mr. Echeverria moved with his family to Trinidad and Tobago at age eight when his father was appointed Venezuelan Ambassador there. After returning to Venezuela at age sixteen to complete high school, he relocated to the United States for higher education before returning home to manage the family business for four years. Economic instability and rising crime rates led him back to the United States for greater safety and opportunity for his children.

Throughout his career transition into the mattress industry—beginning with Serta Mattress Company—Mr. Echeverria leveraged both technical expertise and leadership skills developed during earlier roles in wire forming and manufacturing. As a consultant following his tenure at King Koil, he traveled extensively across China, Indonesia, Dubai, Argentina and Brazil, providing operational guidance to international facilities, including former Serta affiliates.

The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted Mr. Echeverria's consultancy due to travel restrictions. However, an invitation from the Porter family led him to join United Mattress Machinery during this period, a testament to longstanding professional relationships built on trust and mutual respect.

In his personal life, Mr. Echeverria is devoted to his family, including three children and three grandchildren, who bring him great pride. He maintains an amicable relationship with Virginia, his first wife, with whom he shares three children. He is now married to Sabrina—a retired dentist who has established herself as a successful artist with works featured in a Fort Myers gallery—and together they reside in Florida, where their home reflects her artistic talent.

Outside of work commitments, Mr. Echeverria pursues piano lessons—a lifelong interest—and finds fulfillment developing new skills beyond his professional sphere. He also provides financial support to children's cancer charities such as St. Jude Hospital. Though he intentionally refrains from formal volunteer commitments out of respect for the time required, he upholds a personal standard that ensures any promise made is always kept.

Looking ahead, Mr. Echeverria plans to continue professional engagement while prioritizing happiness for both his children and wife above all else. Together with Sabrina, he intends to explore Europe further—including acquiring a second home near Barcelona, Spain —and travel across the United States coast-to-coast seeking personal fulfillment through shared experiences rather than material wealth.
