Prior to joining Artemis Solutions, Ms. Pickering held several leadership positions at Robert Half Inc., beginning as a talent director and assistant vice president from 2018 to 2022. She was subsequently promoted to practice director and vice president, serving from 2022 to December 2025. Her advancement within the organization was largely attributed to her networking abilities and her talent for forging strong professional relationships. She attributes a lot of her success to Branch Director Adrienne Hunt and is thankful for her support and encouragement throughout her tenure.

In 2018, Ms. Pickering contributed to higher education as adjunct faculty at Midway University, where she shared her industry knowledge with students pursuing careers in business and related fields.

Ms. Pickering's earlier career was distinguished by nearly a decade in minor league baseball management. From 2016 to 2018, she served as the vice president of business development for the Lexington Legends, following a term as director of business development from 2012 to 2015. Between these roles, Ms. Pickering was assistant general manager for the High Desert Mavericks from 2015 to 2016. These positions required her to manage diverse operational responsibilities, collaborate across departments and foster community partnerships.

Ms. Pickering's professional journey began in the nonprofit sector as a communications associate with LexArts in 2011. Before entering the business world, she taught family and consumer sciences at Rock Bridge High School within Columbia Public Schools from 2005 to 2009. This foundational experience instilled in her a passion for education and community engagement.

The demanding lifestyle eventually led her to seek new opportunities at Robert Half Inc., where an initial recruitment meeting evolved into a pivotal career move.

Ms. Pickering's involvement with Artemis Solutions was shaped by a longstanding professional relationship with Andrew Dieruf, whom she met during the Commerce Lex Leadership Lexington program in 2017. Their continued connection ultimately led to her recruitment after several years of consideration and collaboration for the firm.

Civic engagement is central to Ms. Pickering's life outside of work. She devotes significant time to Toy Chest Children's Charity as her primary volunteer commitment serving as vice president of the board, while also organizing quarterly support efforts with various local nonprofits to meet their evolving needs. Her personal and professional volunteerism includes service with International Book Project, KVC Behavioral HealthCare Kentucky, GreenHouse17, Nest Children's Charity, Lexington Children's Museum and Lexington Hearing and Speech Center.
