Mr. Shukla joined Amazon in 2017 as a Program Manager, transitioning from an operational background into a highly technical environment. In his early years, he immersed himself in understanding return attributes and built dashboards addressing scan compliance, transit time visibility, and operational metrics — work that established his foundation in data-driven decision-making. He gained deep understanding of distributed systems by learning directly from software development engineers, and by 2020 had advanced to Senior Program Manager, establishing himself as a subject matter expert across the returns ecosystem. From 2022 to 2025, as Senior Product Manager, Mr. Shukla built products to support return routing for millions of packages across the returns network. During this period, he worked with third-party carriers to develop solutions for agile routing that are capacity-aware and provide the right level of traceability across the network — collaborating across teams to identify systemic challenges and establish the critical metrics used in leadership reviews.

Before joining Amazon, Mr. Shukla served as Manager of Operational Excellence (Operations Strategy) at Snapdeal in India from 2015 to 2017 — his first experience within a high-growth startup environment. At Snapdeal, he worked directly on returns experience and returns transportation, collaborating with customer associates and logistics teams to improve end-to-end return flows. He also led the successful implementation of CRM, which deepened his understanding of technology's role in operational transformation. The startup environment demanded versatility, and Mr. Shukla wore multiple hats — spanning operations management, program management, and product thinking — building a breadth of skills that would later define his career trajectory. Perhaps most importantly, the experience taught him how rapidly business landscapes can shift, instilling an adaptability and resilience that he carried into every subsequent role.

From 2014 to 2015, Mr. Shukla worked as a Consultant in Manufacturing and Logistics at Cognizant Business Consulting, providing strategic guidance on manufacturing processes and logistics optimization for clients across multiple industries. In 2013, he completed a summer internship at India Pistons Ltd., gaining practical experience in industrial operations. Earlier in his career, from 2008 to 2012, Mr. Shukla served as Section Manager at John Deere, where he managed a team of 50+ associates. This role provided substantial experience in personnel management and operational leadership — skills that proved invaluable throughout his subsequent career progression.

Mr. Shukla holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Warangal (2008) and a Master of Business Administration in Operations and General Management from the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (2014). He also holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Benchmark Six Sigma, reflecting his commitment to process improvement and quality management.
