In this capacity, Mr. Hines connects buyers and sellers, leverages relationships with commercial bankers, investment bankers and merchant bankers, and assembles groups of buyers for company transactions. His approach is characterized by a personal touch and a focus on helping individuals who often have limited experience in finance or business valuation.

Mr. Hines began his professional journey by serving two years in the United States Navy as Fire Control Division Officer aboard a guided missile cruiser. Following his military service, he returned to academia at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. His education provided the foundation for his entry into the finance profession and equipped him with the skills necessary in financial institutions early in his career.

He spent five years at Citibank where he gained valuable experience immediately after graduating from business school. Later in his banking career, Mr. Hines was associated with First & Merchants National Bank in Richmond, Virginia.

Since 2014, he has served as a consultant for Barrett Capital Management LLC in Virginia offering advisory services that draw upon his deep knowledge of financial management.

In addition to this role, Mr. Hines is a consultant with Light & Raphael LLC in Virginia, a position he has held since 2018, where he provides strategic guidance on business transactions and mergers.

Known for his commitment to leadership, networking, and on-going professional development, Mr. Hines maintains active membership in several industry-related organizations. These include the Richmond Tip Club, the FOCUS Club, and the Encorepreneur Group.
