With more than 15 years of experience in brand equity, innovation and omnichannel marketing execution, Ms. des Etages has established a distinguished career in strategic marketing leadership. Since 2024, she has served as Senior Director of Brand Equity and Deployment at RJ Reynolds Vapor Company, a subsidiary of Reynolds American Inc. In this role, she leads the development of consumer-driven brand strategies while navigating the complex regulatory environment of the nicotine industry.

Ms. des Etages oversees strategic brand initiatives, marketing investment management, agency partnerships and cross-functional collaboration across the organization. Her leadership focuses on delivering commercial results while strengthening consumer relevance and long-term brand equity in a highly regulated category. She is also recognized for mentoring emerging marketing professionals and building high-performing teams.

Prior to assuming her current role, Ms. des Etages served as Global Future Innovation Lead for the modern oral category at British American Tobacco p.l.c. in London from 2022 to 2024. During her tenure, she led development of a transformational innovation pipeline guided by the Horizon 3 innovation framework. Her work contributed to several innovations for the Velo brand, including icy fruit flavor profiles and the Comfort Pouch, an innovation that advanced product standards within the category.

Ms. des Etages began her professional career in project management before pivoting into marketing following completion of her Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. She subsequently joined Reynolds American Inc., where she advanced through a series of progressively responsible marketing roles between 2011 and 2018. During this time, she developed expertise in brand management, trade marketing, innovation pipeline development and leadership.

Earlier in her career, Ms. des Etages also gained international business experience as a portfolio manager with Stansfeld Scott Inc. in the Caribbean, where she managed a diverse portfolio of beverage and spirits brands and developed promotional strategies tailored to regional consumer dynamics.

Since 2019, Ms. des Etages has additionally served as founder and brand strategist of Brand Think, a consulting venture through which she has advised small businesses on brand development, strategic positioning and consumer engagement.

Among the formative experiences of her career was contributing to the rebranding and relaunch of Eclipse, a heated tobacco product reintroduced as Revo. The initiative required building consumer education strategies within an emerging category while navigating evolving market realities and regulatory considerations. While the category presented significant commercial challenges, the experience strengthened Ms. des Etages' expertise in innovation strategy, consumer insight synthesis and leading through uncertainty.

Academically accomplished, Ms. des Etages earned a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Business Analytics from Wake Forest University in 2012 and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Drexel University in 2007. She further expanded her leadership expertise through completion of an Executive Leadership Program at Cornell University in 2018.

Ms. des Etages credits much of her professional foundation to the values instilled by her parents, Merle and Allistaire, whose emphasis on education, discipline and personal initiative shaped her approach to leadership and lifelong learning.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Ms. des Etages enjoys playing piano, attending live music events and wine tasting. A dedicated mother to her daughter, Amália, she has balanced an ambitious international career with family life, including relocating to London before later returning to the United States.

Looking ahead, Ms. des Etages intends to continue expanding her influence as a strategic leader through opportunities focused on innovation, leadership development, speaking engagements and entrepreneurial growth.
