SALISBURY, MD, May 20, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Chelsea A. Lahey has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Since becoming the owner of Galaxy Gymnastics in 2016, Chelsea has transformed the gym into both a successful business and a meaningful part of the local community. Over the past decade, she has demonstrated strong leadership, resilience and a passion for creating opportunities for children and families. Her responsibilities range from managing daily operations, to organizing events, leading classes, handling administrative duties and coaching in the evenings (although she credits her management for putting her extensive ideas into action). This unique schedule allows Chelsea to balance her professional life with her commitment to her family and children.

One of the most defining moments in Chelsea's career came three years ago when she assumed full ownership of Galaxy Gymnastics after parting ways with a business partner. Like many small business owners, she faced operational challenges through this transition, but through determination, strategic growth and a strong commitment to her athletes and families, she successfully guided the gym into profitability while continuing to expand its programs and community impact.

Chelsea earned a Bachelor's Degree from Towson University in 2013, providing her with a strong foundation in communication, leadership and organizational management. She holds several industry certifications, including a USA Gymnastics judging certification through Level 8, a meet director certification, and various other accreditations through USA Gymnastics. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Chelsea remains involved within local athletic communities. She actively participates in The Eastern Shore Running Club.

Chelsea credits much of Galaxy Gymnastics' success to the supportive culture built within the program and the dedication of her staff, many of whom are former athletes who return during college breaks to coach and mentor younger students. Her background in athletics also played an important role in shaping her career. She credits her athletic upbringing for giving her many of the tools that helped shape her success as both a business owner and leader. Growing up surrounded by parents who consistently prioritized athletics, discipline and hard work, Chelsea learned early the importance of commitment, perseverance and teamwork. As an athlete, those lessons translated naturally into entrepreneurship, leadership and the ability to overcome challenges.

Community involvement and charitable giving have become defining parts of Chelsea's professional mission. Through Galaxy Gymnastics, she regularly supports local schools and organizations by donating supplies, raising funds and volunteering throughout the year. The gym has partnered with organizations including Village of Hope, Women Supporting Women and The Salvation Army. Chelsea has also organized free running programs for children, participates and donates to local running events, and donates complimentary open gym opportunities to ensure children have access to physical activity regardless of financial circumstances. Her efforts have earned her several honors, including recognition as Innovator of the Year from Maryland Capital Enterprise and a nomination for Businesswoman of the Year in Maryland.

Looking toward the future, Chelsea plans to continue expanding Galaxy Gymnastics by developing an after-school program designed to support between 20 and 50 children. Her long-term vision is to create a comprehensive wellness facility that offers gymnastics, after-school care, physical therapy, fitness training, stretch therapy and dance programs — creating an inclusive environment where individuals of all ages can grow, move and thrive.

Keep an eye on Chelsea Lahey as she continues to grow, inspire and redefine what community-focused athletics can look like for future generations.
