SAN ANTONIO, TX, May 20, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Amanda Mae Saucedo has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
"When women veterans are seen, we become connected — and when we are connected, we become unstoppable."
This guiding belief shapes every aspect of Ms. Saucedo's work and reflects the mission behind her rapidly growing organization.
Ms. Saucedo is the founder of the Woman Veteran Calendar, a nonprofit she established in 2023 to elevate the visibility, voices, and lived experiences of women who served. What began as a calendar has evolved into a nationally expanding community and empowerment movement, uniting women veterans through storytelling, mentorship, and collaboration. All proceeds from calendar sales are donated to nonprofits supporting women veterans, reinforcing the organization's commitment to collective impact and community uplift.
Under Ms. Saucedo's leadership, the Woman Veteran Calendar has forged partnerships with numerous veteran-serving organizations across Texas and the United States. These collaborations have strengthened resource sharing, expanded outreach, and created new opportunities for women veterans to connect and be recognized. One of the organization's signature initiatives is the MILCITY U.S.A. Dining Out, an annual Women Veterans Day celebration that brings together civic leaders, military dignitaries, and community partners to honor the service of women veterans. The event has grown significantly each year, reflecting the increasing demand for representation and community among women who served.
Ms. Saucedo is supported by a dedicated board of women veterans and advocates, including a vice president, secretary, wellness officer, treasurer, and several members at large. This core team plays a vital role in sustaining the organization's momentum and ensuring its mission is carried out with integrity, compassion, and professionalism.
In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Ms. Saucedo has served as a Master Resilience Trainer since 2016, offering guidance to individuals seeking to strengthen their mental, emotional, and behavioral resilience. Her work in this field is deeply informed by her military experience and her commitment to empowering others through practical, evidence-based tools.
Ms. Saucedo's distinguished military career began in 2002 when she enlisted in the United States Air Force as a health service management specialist (4A0X1). Over more than two decades of service, she held several key positions, including deputy chief of wing protocol for the 52d Fighter Wing and HIPAA privacy officer for the Air Force Medical Service. Her responsibilities included overseeing compliance with federal privacy regulations and managing high-level protocol operations—experiences that shaped her leadership style and informed her approach to nonprofit management.
A decorated combat veteran, Ms. Saucedo completed deployments to Al Udeid Air Base and Iraq while navigating the challenges of single parenthood. She earned multiple commendations, including meritorious service medals, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal. Her military journey strengthened her bond with her children, with whom she traveled extensively while stationed in Germany.
Ms. Saucedo's dedication to service extends beyond her professional roles. A lifelong supporter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a Gold Star family member, she carries forward the legacy of her great-uncle, who was killed in action during World War II. She is also affiliated with The American Legion and previously served as president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Her academic achievements include a bachelor's degree in human services from Wayland Baptist University and coursework in health service administration at the Community College of the Air Force. These studies provided the foundation for her work in both military and nonprofit leadership.
Ms. Saucedo attributes her accomplishments to the unwavering support of her family, her community, and the values instilled in her upbringing—particularly the importance of honoring service, protecting freedoms, and advocating for equal opportunities. Her own transition from military to civilian life revealed the unique challenges faced by women veterans, including underrepresentation and microaggressions within traditional veteran spaces. These experiences inspired her to create the Woman Veteran Calendar as a safe, empowering, and visible platform for women veterans nationwide.
Outside her professional endeavors, Ms. Saucedo enjoys running marathons and spending time with her family. Looking ahead, she is committed to expanding the Woman Veteran Calendar's reach, strengthening partnerships, and addressing the mental health crisis among women veterans by fostering deeper community connections and access to vital support networks.
