HILLSBORO, OR, May 20, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Philip David Bianco has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Bianco has distinguished himself as an expert freelance photographer based in Oregon, earning recognition for his spontaneous and eclectic approach to the craft. His career in photography is marked by a commitment to capturing authentic moments, often focusing on subjects that reflect the diversity and complexity of American society.

In recent years, Mr. Bianco has dedicated significant time and resources to documenting homeless populations across the U.S., using his lens not only to raise awareness but also to motivate and inspire those he photographs. His ongoing book project, which aims to provide a comprehensive visual account of homeless communities nationwide, stands as his most notable achievement. This ambitious endeavor builds upon decades of experience, including the sale of Mr. Bianco's photographs to magazines and newspapers and the development of a diverse portfolio in South Dakota and other locations.

Before working in a freelance capacity, Mr. Bianco held several roles that have contributed to his versatile professional background. He served as an assistant manager at a Hilton Corporation hotel in Texas, where he gained valuable experience in hospitality management. Before this position, he worked as a bartender for the organization, honing his interpersonal skills and adaptability in dynamic environments. Earlier in his career, from 1971 to 1979, Mr. Bianco was employed as an elevator operator with Mainco Elevator in Long Island City. Each of these roles provided him with unique insights into different industries, ultimately informing his later work behind the camera.

Mr. Bianco's educational journey began after relocating from New York to South Dakota in 1971 to complete his schooling. He pursued coursework at Midland College in Midland, Texas, which contributed foundational knowledge that supported his subsequent endeavors across multiple industries and states.

Mr. Bianco's expertise in freelance photography is further underscored by his membership in the International Freelance Photography Organization, based in North Carolina. This affiliation reflects his commitment to professional development and engagement with the broader photographic community.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Bianco has demonstrated a strong commitment to civic engagement and humanitarian causes. Most notably, he volunteered at various homeless shelters in Seattle, an experience that deepened his understanding of social issues and influenced the direction of his current photographic projects. Mr. Bianco's dedication to humanitarian work is evident not only in his volunteerism but also in the themes he explores through photography.

Mr. Bianco's entry into photography was inspired during the Vietnam War era while living in New York. A powerful image captured by a renowned photographer documenting a pivotal historical event motivated him to purchase a Russian-made camera from a pawn shop in Times Square. He taught himself the technical aspects of photography, including developing black-and-white film and creating proof sheets, eventually selling his work at flea markets throughout New York. Although he paused his photographic pursuits while working in South Dakota and Texas, retirement allowed Mr. Bianco to return fully to the art form and renew his commitment to impactful storytelling through images.

Attributing much of his success to ambition and his passion for photography, Mr. Bianco remains focused on completing his book project documenting homeless societies. He also intends to continue to travel throughout the U.S. in pursuit of new stories and perspectives within this community.
