Ms. Clark has established herself in the healthcare field as an expert in nursing, building a distinguished career that spans over 45 years and encompasses a wide range of clinical and leadership roles. Since 2024, she has served as a registered nurse at Kirksville Manor Care Center in Missouri, where her responsibilities include assessing patients, performing vital signs, administering medications, monitoring patient conditions and contacting physicians when necessary. Among numerous other tasks, she arranges hospital transfers, provides wound care, changes dressings, communicates equipment needs to administration, supervises nurses' aides and medication aides, and assists colleagues whenever possible. Ms. Clark's spirited and engaging approach to patient care has brought comfort and happiness to countless individuals during their hospital and nursing home stays. She is particularly proud of her ability to create a welcoming environment for patients in both institutional and home health settings, ensuring they feel at ease with nursing care.

Before joining Kirksville Manor Care Center, Ms. Clark worked as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Neuroscience Institute within CHRISTUS Health from 2009 to 2016. In this capacity, she provided critical care to patients with complex neurological conditions, further honing her clinical expertise and reinforcing her commitment to patient-centered care.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Clark worked in neonatal intensive care and obstetrics, where she supported mothers and newborns through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. She also spent a year as a registered nurse in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, followed by travel nursing assignments in Nevada, Oklahoma and California. These experiences broadened Ms. Clark's perspective on diverse patient populations and healthcare systems.

Additionally, Ms. Clark held leadership positions as the director of nurses at nursing homes in Fort Stockton and Andrews, Texas. She also served as an assistant director of nurses at a local nursing home in Fort Stockton. In these roles, she was responsible for overseeing clinical operations, mentoring staff and ensuring regulatory compliance. Ms. Clark's early professional journey began in Missouri as a nurse aide and medication aide before advancing to registered nurse positions in local nursing homes.

Ms. Clark's educational achievements have played a pivotal role in shaping her professional path. She earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University) in 1979. She later pursued coursework toward a Master of Science in nursing at the University of Missouri. In addition to her academic credentials, she received certification as a registered nurse and obtained a massage therapy license from the State of Texas.

Throughout her career, Ms. Clark has been an active member of the Moose Lodge and has participated in various civic-minded initiatives. She also volunteers her time playing card games for charity donations in Missouri, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to community service beyond the clinical setting.

Ms. Clark's dedication has been recognized with honors such as the Best Nurse Award. She takes particular pride in being the first member of her family to attend college.
