They also have invested in significant upgrades to both businesses and launched robust advertising campaigns, including a billboard that has increased local visibility. Before becoming entrepreneurs, David and Valerie spent the last 20 plus years working together in manufacturing as electronic technicians at Viscotek, a business owned by David's mother and father. When David's parents decided to retire the first time, Viscotek was sold to Malvern and they continued to work there for seven years. David's parents then decided to come out of retirement, so David and Valerie went back to work in the family business, now M&J Scientific, where they worked for 10 years until David's parents decided to finally retire at the end of 2024. During their tenure, they held supervisory roles over electronic technicians and purchasing operations. They both had responsibilities overseeing technical teams and managing procurement processes. This experience provided them with valuable skills in leadership, organization and team management.

Mr. and Mrs. Haney maintain affiliation as a member of the Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce. Through this organization, they engage with local business leaders and civic-minded individuals who share their commitment to community development.

The hard work and dedication Mr. and Mrs. Haney have demonstrated have led to notoriety.
