Mr. Hurja's distinguished military career in the United States Marine Corps spanned more than two decades, from 2002 to 2023. His final assignment was as senior logistics and transportation manager in Yuma, Arizona, from 2021 to 2023, where he directed complex logistical operations supporting Marine Corps readiness. Earlier, from 2018 to 2021, he served as an operations manager responsible for mission planning, operational execution and leadership of diverse teams in demanding environments.
From 2015 to 2017, Mr. Hurja served as a senior logistics instructor in Jacksonville, North Carolina, training Marines in advanced logistics operations, transportation management and operational planning. Earlier assignments included serving as a transportation manager and holding multiple leadership positions of increasing responsibility throughout his military career. In recognition of his distinguished service and leadership, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal by the United States Marine Corps.
Among his notable military accomplishments, Mr. Hurja served as S-3 operations chief for a Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force preparing for deployment to South America under U.S. Southern Command and Marine Forces South between 2019 and 2020. Despite operational disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, he helped maintain readiness through extensive training and contingency planning efforts. In 2020, Mr. Hurja led a mobile training team mission in Colombia, where he instructed Colombian Marines in advanced vehicle operations and tactical techniques. Following the mission, Colombia was struck by consecutive hurricanes, and the U.S. Embassy credited the training with enhancing rescue operations during widespread flooding, demonstrating the significance of international collaboration and preparedness under challenging conditions.
Mr. Hurja has established expertise in leadership, logistics, operational planning and healthcare supply chain management. He remains active in several professional and veteran organizations, including the Arizona Materials Management Healthcare Association, The American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Hurja earned a Master of Business Administration from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University in 2026, with concentrations in supply chain management, leadership and healthcare. He also holds a bachelor's degree in organizational management from the University of Arizona Global Campus and a graduate certificate in marketing from Liberty University.
