There, Ms. Lawrence's appointment as the art director for a new facility with 33 rooms allowed her to shape the aesthetic environment by selecting colors and themes that fostered comfort and inspiration throughout. She produced original artworks for the main communal spaces while curating prints of her works for other areas, demonstrating adaptability. During the renovation of the former doctor's office and its colorful tile floors, Ms. Lawrence encouraged embracing the linear scars, left from removal of old walls, by instructing workers to use creative license in filling them in with a Mondrian-inspired approach to make unique strips rather than trying to match replacements to remaining floor patterns. She learned the technique herself and reworked large areas in more refined tile cuts according to her pleasure. From there, she continued her efforts to transform shelter spaces through art in another similar facility in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

As a result of her meaningful community work, Ms. Lawrence's efforts in Las Vegas were formally recognized when the town honored her for her impactful work with shelters. During this acknowledgment, special mention was made of her book, "ART and YOU: ART FOR YOUR MINDSET," which she found particularly validating.

In addition to her visual art practice, Ms. Lawrence is an accomplished author. She wrote "ART and YOU: ART FOR YOUR MINDSET," a comprehensive guide designed to introduce readers to the transformative power of art. The book includes practical sections on integrating art into living and work spaces, with special mention to shelters, and serves as an accessible manual that offers inspiration and actionable insights for those unfamiliar with art's potential impact.

Ms. Lawrence's background has played a significant role in shaping her career trajectory. She completed postgraduate studies in painting and printmaking at Maryland Institute College of Art, where she refined her technical skills and deepened her understanding of contemporary art practices. Later, she extended studies for a semester at MICA's LeRoy E. Hoffberger Graduate School of Painting with Grace Hartigan, AIR. She previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in fine and studio arts from Goucher College. These educational experiences provided a strong foundation for her professional achievements and informed her approach to both creative production and arts consultancy.

Reflecting on her career, Ms. Lawrence attributes her success to perseverance, resilience and a deep commitment to making art accessible and meaningful.
