NEW YORK, NY, May 26, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jane Marsh, opera diva, mistress of ceremonies, adjunct professor, lecturer, master class facilitator, artistic and program consultant, author, and educator, was selected by Marquis Who's Who for a prominent feature in the May 2026 New York City regional issue of TIME magazine.
As an internationally acclaimed performer, Ms. Marsh is also preparing a new generation of singers to pursue artistic achievement and fame. She has dedicated years to teaching vocal performance pedagogy at San Francisco State University and as an adjunct professor at Hunter College. Ms. Marsh has given lectures and master classes around the world, sharing her expertise on a wide range of composers and styles. She has also served as the artistic advisor and program consultant for the Metropolitan Opera Guild, bringing a diverse array of education programs to New York's Lincoln Center.
A lauded history applauds Ms. Marsh's work as a spinto dramatic soprano and innovative educator. Earning a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from Oberlin College and Conservatory, Ms. Marsh marked herself as an international star when she became the first singer in history to win the gold medal at the legendary International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. Following that groundbreaking accomplishment, she was featured in most international magazines, the likes of TIME, LIFE, and U.S. News & World Report.
Maintaining her momentum, she went on to lead global opera, concert and recital performances and has appeared at most major performing venues around the world. Ms. Marsh has also enjoyed numerous notable television appearances, such as "Bel Telephone Hour," "The Hollywood Palace," "The Ed Sullivan Show," "The Red Skelton Show," "The Mike Douglas Show, "The Johnny Carson Show," and "The Merv Griffin Show," as well as major European television and radio arenas. She has additionally provided voiceover for documentaries and as a mistress of ceremonies on radio and television programs.
Although her individual work as a vocalist is renowned, Ms. Marsh has long been committed to empowering the next generation of performers, believing that performers need to get in touch with their own personal power. This can change the lives of audiences, as well as their own lives. Alongside her teaching engagements, she presents an annual opera showcase at the historical Temple Emanu-El in association with the Jewish Association Serving the Aging (JASA) NextAct program. Her every action is colored by her enduring love and deep respect for her own power in singing — traits that have guided her in making a lasting impact on the field and in empowering the coming generation of singers.
