As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Davis stands as a seventh-generation owner/operator of Ayers Farms, Inc., a family-run agricultural enterprise in Perrysville, Ohio. Her tenure at the farm spans more than three decades, reflecting a deep commitment to both her family's legacy and the advancement of sustainable dairy practices.
Since 1994, Ms. Davis has served as young stock manager at Ayers Farms, Inc., where she oversees the critical development phase of dairy cows from birth until just before their first calving. Her responsibilities include managing heifer feeding, housing, and pen transitions based on age, administering vaccination protocols, and supporting the farm's breeding program and reproductive planning. She schedules daily and long-range operations, collaborates closely with veterinarians and animal nutritionists, assists in human resources and staff coordination, and supports field operations alongside general farm management activities. Integral to their dairy operation, Ayers Farms strives to produce high quality forage and saleable crops from planting through harvest, storage, and animal consumption—including winter rye and wheat crops which promote soil health and erosion protection— in a progressive and sustainable manner.
Ms. Davis has served as owner/operator of Ayers Farms, Inc. since 1994. In this capacity, she works collaboratively with her mother, father, aunt, uncle, and cousin to ensure the effective operation of the farm. The land has been in her family for seven generations, with the current dairy operation established by her grandparents in 1947. Over time, the farm has evolved from a small operation with horses, cows and pigs into a specialized dairy enterprise focused exclusively on dairy cows. While sheep and beef cattle were once part of the operation during her childhood, today only a few beef cattle are maintained for personal use. The farm also grows corn, soybeans, rye, oats, wheat, and sorghum primarily for animal feed but also for saleable produce.
Throughout her career at Ayers Farms, Inc., the implementation of numerous changes that have enhanced productivity while prioritizing the well-being of both livestock and employees, effectively utilizing technology to streamline operations, improve herd health, and foster an inclusive environment that attracts younger generations to agriculture. These efforts have improved the quality of life for those working on the farm while maintaining a longstanding commitment to sustainability—exemplified by practices such as using Wet Brewers Grain since the 1980s.
Ms. Davis's professional achievements include being featured in the 2025 article "From Brew to Moo: The Sustainable Dairy Practices at Ayers Farm." While she acknowledges the positive attention this publication has brought, she emphasizes that many of the sustainable technologies highlighted have been standard practice at Ayers Farms for decades.
Her industry involvement extends beyond daily operations. Ms. Davis is an active member of several organizations, including the Corporate Resolutions member of Dairy Farmers of America, the Farm Credit Advocacy Council and the Farm Bureau.
Ms. Davis's educational background includes earning a dual bachelor's degree in English literature and American history, with a minor in American studies, from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in 1994. Her academic pursuits provided her with critical thinking skills and a broad perspective that have proven invaluable in managing complex agricultural operations. After serving as an exchange student following high school—and initially planning not to return to farming—she ultimately chose to rejoin her family's business with renewed purpose after completing her university studies.
She attributes much of her success to the unwavering support of her family, who continually encourage her pursuit of excellence, and to her dedicated employees, whose insights have shaped her approach to leadership. Ms. Davis values welcoming individuals from outside the farm community. She maintains a strong relationship with Ohio State Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster, Ohio—a partnership that brings fresh perspectives through engagement with students and community members.
Civically engaged, Ms. Davis will return to serve on the board of the Ashland County Community Foundation beginning July 2026. She has held leadership roles on her local library board—including three years as president during a 17-year tenure—and supports several scholarship committees and church initiatives. Additionally, she and her husband, Nate, volunteer as timekeepers for events organized by the American Rally Association.
Her contributions have been recognized through honors such as the Outstanding Young Farmer in Ohio award from Farm Bureau in 2001 and Ayers Farms, Inc. being recognized at Dairy Farmers of America Mideast Cooperative of the Year award.
Born in Ashland County, Ms. Davis enjoys traveling when away from her professional responsibilities. Looking ahead, she and her cousin are preparing to assume full leadership of Ayers Farms upon their parents' retirement, with plans to modernize operations further through technology while upholding principles of sustainability for both animals and land stewardship. She is also committed to establishing a scholarship fund in partnership with the local fair board to support individuals pursuing careers in agriculture or STEM fields.
Ms. Davis's enduring dedication to innovation, education and community service continues to shape both Ayers Farms and the broader agricultural landscape in Ohio.
