Demonstrating a steadfast commitment to advancing patient care and innovative treatment modalities, Dr. Nwankwookoye has distinguished herself as a leader in psychiatry and mental health. As the founder and owner of Divine Behavioral Health Services in Renton, Washington, she continues to play a vital role in shaping the organization's mission and clinical offerings.

Since establishing Divine Behavioral Health Services, Dr. Nwankwookoye has served as a psychiatry nurse practitioner, where she is recognized for her expertise in providing specialized treatments such as transcranial magnetic stimulation and ketamine therapy. Her dedication to offering these advanced therapies has made a significant impact on patients struggling with depression, anxiety or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) who have not responded to traditional medication or psychotherapy, marking this achievement as one of the most meaningful milestones in her career.

In addition to her responsibilities at Divine Behavioral Health, Dr. Nwankwookoye is the nurse practitioner lead at Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care. In this capacity, she supervises the nursing team and provides comprehensive care to both inpatient and outpatient clients, embracing the challenges and rewards of working with diverse populations. Her dual roles reflect her ability to balance leadership with direct patient care, further solidifying her reputation as an expert in psychiatry and mental health.

Prior to founding Divine Behavioral Health, Dr. Nwankwookoye spent more than five years as a registered nurse at Country Doctor Community Clinic. During her tenure there, she gained invaluable experience in community-based health care, developing strong clinical skills and a deep understanding of patient needs across various backgrounds.

Alongside her primary roles, Dr. Nwankwookoye is an active member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, underscoring her commitment to ongoing professional development and engagement with the latest advancements in psychiatric nursing.

Hailing from an equally accomplished academic journey, Dr. Nwankwookoye began her higher education at Highline College in Des Moines, Washington, where she earned an associate degree in 2012. After a one-year break dedicated to personal growth and reflection, she continued her studies at the University of Washington, obtaining a bachelor's degree in 2014. She then pursued graduate coursework at the same institution which culminated in a Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2016.

Throughout her graduate program, Dr. Nwankwookoye was recognized with numerous accolades for academic excellence and leadership potential. In addition to providing a strong foundation for her clinical practice, her educational achievements have been pivotal in enabling her to deliver high-quality care and introduce innovative treatment options within the psychiatry and mental health sectors.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Nwankwookoye is actively involved in civic life as a volunteer at her local church, reflecting her longstanding dedication to service and community engagement.

Happily married and a proud mother, Dr. Nwankwookoye cherishes spending time with her husband of 20 years and their four children. She finds relaxation through reading, practicing yoga and Pilates, and watching movies with her loved ones. Originally from Nigeria, she continues to draw strength from her supportive family as she navigates life as an immigrant and adapts to new cultural and educational environments.

Looking toward the future, Dr. Nwankwookoye is committed to expanding access to mental health amenities by broadening the reach of Divine Behavioral Health Services into primary care settings and assisted living facilities. Inspired by recent experiences during a mission trip where she witnessed significant barriers to health care access due to financial constraints, she envisions establishing a foundation in Nigeria that focuses on women's entrepreneurship and opening a hospital that provides care regardless of the ability to pay. This enduring vision reflects her legacy of giving back to her community and making a lasting difference in the lives of others through everything she does.
