FRANKLIN, TN, May 29, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Eric L. Wagnon has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Wagnon currently serves as the Vice President of Global Innovation at Solenis, a role he has held since 2023. In this capacity, he leads a worldwide team of scientists and engineers dedicated to advancing water treatment solutions for both public and private systems, including high-profile installations such as the Bellagio fountains and attractions at SeaWorld and Hard Rock Resorts, along with backyard pools. His leadership has been instrumental in developing sustainable technologies that enhance chemical efficiency, equipment performance and feeding systems within water care.

Mr. Wagnon has also championed the advancement of digital monitoring and control systems, enabling remote management of water quality and the creation of predictive dosing models that optimize chemical application for more automated and reliable water management.

Prior to joining Solenis, Mr. Wagnon was a Senior Director of Research and Development for global oral care at SmileDirectClub from 2019 to 2023. There, he led the research and development team in creating a comprehensive portfolio of oral care products, including aligners designed to compete with established brands like Invisalign. His efforts contributed to SmileDirectClub's expansion into new product categories across multiple medical device spaces.

For the preceding five years, Mr. Wagnon served as a Senior Research and Development at Mars Incorporated. He played a pivotal role in scaling innovative pet care products across the globe, leveraging his expertise in both upstream research and downstream product launches. Between 2015 and 2017, he was global R&D Innovation Acceleration Manager at the same firm, where he was a founding member of the company's global innovation center.

Mr. Wagnon's tenure at Mars began in 2014 following the acquisition of Procter & Gamble's pet care brands, including Iams and Eukanuba. As section head for global pet care from 2014 to 2015, he relocated to Franklin, Tennessee, to help maintain technical expertise during the transition period.

Before his time at Mars Incorporated, Mr. Wagnon built an extensive career at Procter & Gamble, beginning in 1996 after earning his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He started as a lab researcher and advanced through various technical roles over 18 years, ultimately reaching senior management positions. Some of his roles include R&D Section head in Pet Care, Health Care, Fabric & Home Care, where he played a key role in expanding Downy fabric enhancers into developing markets.

Earlier in his career as a senior process development engineer at Procter & Gamble, Mr. Wagnon contributed significantly to new business development and emerging technology initiatives—most notably as co-inventor of Febreze Air Effects. His innovative work on Febreze resulted in several patents related to air care products, such as Method of Freshening Air for Propellant, Package and Particle Size, Method of Freshening Air for Formulation, Method of Freshening Air and Long Lasting Freshness and Method for Refreshing, Deodorizing and Finishing Garments.

Throughout his 30-year career, Mr. Wagnon has navigated complex problems and demonstrated innovation leadership in multiple consumer product fields. From Fabric Care to Air Care to Oral Care to Water Care, he has been recognized for his ability to deploy resources globally while meeting diverse consumer needs on a country-by-country basis. He has successfully established nearly 20 sites worldwide for various new products.

Educationally, Mr. Wagnon's background includes coursework in strategic leadership from Wharton Executive Education at The University of Pennsylvania, completed in 2024 after earning a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Furthering his expertise, he is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt through both Procter & Gamble and Mars Incorporated and is a former member of the American Chemical Society.

Reflecting on his career, Mr. Wagnon attributes much of his success to the strength of his teams throughout his career journey. He emphasizes empowering colleagues by granting them autonomy while setting ambitious goals—an approach that has fostered collaborative achievement across multiple organizations.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Wagnon is actively involved in civic organizations and youth sports leadership roles. He has held multi-year board positions with multiple youth leagues, Franklin Baseball Club and Creekside Basketball organization, while also acting as head baseball coach for Franklin Baseball Club since 2015. His head coaching experience has also extended with Williamson County Recreation, Upward Sports, and the Lakota Sports Organization. He heavily supports United Way Worldwide, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Goodwill Industries, and his various local church organizations.

Outside his professional commitments, Mr. Wagnon enjoys domestic and international travel, hiking, camping and cooking. He is also deeply engaged in supporting his three sons' athletic endeavors and academic activities.
