Mrs. Ischer currently serves as the chief executive officer of SHINE Career Collective LLC, a woman-owned company based in Portland, Oregon, dedicated to strengthening and innovating recruiting practices to better serve both clients and candidates. Since 2019, she has led the organization with a focus on bridging gaps, empowering individuals to realize their potential and enhancing operational systems. Her most notable achievement is her commitment to helping people—supporting their growth and development in professional settings that often extend into their personal lives. Under her leadership, SHINE Career Collective LLC has become recognized for its people-centric approach and dedication to fostering meaningful connections within the workforce. Prior to assuming her role, she was chief operating officer at the same firm from 2019 to 2025.

For the preceding year, Mrs. Ischer served as area manager at CareerStaff Unlimited in Portland, Oregon, after holding dual roles as senior professional service recruiter and business development account manager at Motus Recruiting and Staffing Inc from 2016 to 2018. Her earlier experience includes working as a sales representative for American Family Insurance from 2013 to 2016. Although she did not find the insurance sales field personally fulfilling, she valued the connections made during this period and became actively involved in the local business community.

From 2007 to 2013, Mrs. Ischer worked as a medical esthetician and makeup artist across various medical spas and retail establishments, gaining hands-on experience in client care and cosmetic services. During this time, she also served as a counter manager for Estée Lauder at Nordstrom from 2010 to 2011.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Ischer has been an active member of several industry-related organizations. She was involved with the Tualatin Chamber of Commerce from 2013 to 2019 and held leadership positions as chair and vice chair of the Young Professionals of Tualatin during the same period. She also served on the Tualatin Chamber board of directors holding leadership positions such as vice president and president elect. Additionally, she served as a board treasurer for WING- Networking Group from 2013 to 2014 and is a member of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network.

Mrs. Ischer's educational background includes earning a diploma from Clackamas High School in Clackamas, Oregon. She completed her studies early by finishing all but two classes in her senior year, which allowed her to attend beauty school while working. In 2007, she obtained an esthetician license from Portland Beauty School in Portland, Oregon. Her early entrepreneurial interests were shaped by her experiences in high school and beauty school, where she aspired to launch her own cosmetics brand before shifting focus to medical aesthetics due to changes in industry regulations. A significant influence on Mrs. Ischer's recruiting career has been her business partner and sister-in-law, whose guidance helped her enter the recruiting industry and provided ongoing support throughout her professional journey.

Mrs. Ischer and her sister-in-law initially founded SHINE Career Collective, before her sister-in-law stepped away from business ownership and the company. Mrs. Ischer decided to continue forward with the business, taking full ownership in 2025.

Outside of her professional commitments, Mrs. Ischer serves civically as a board member for the Chelsea Hicks Foundation beginning in 2026. Personally, she is married to her loving husband, is a stepmother to two children and enjoys snowmobiling, cooking and hiking as hobbies.

Looking ahead, Mrs. Ischer plans to grow her company to eventually sell it while working to shift public perception of staffing partnerships by increasing her visibility through speaking engagements such as TED talks and podcasts. She aims to position herself—and SHINE Career Collective LLC—as valuable resources within the industry and help other organizations expand their vision for recruiting excellence.
