Notably, Ms. Berger led a major process improvement initiative during a period when the program was falling behind on contractual obligations and experiencing a negative workplace culture. Before joining Boeing, Ms. Berger served as a quality assurance engineer at Bullhorn from 2019 to 2020. In this capacity, she contributed to staffing software development and applicant tracking systems, and she worked closely with software engineers and product managers to enhance product functionality. In 2018, she accepted the position of laboratory technician II at Monsanto Company; there, Ms. Berger focused on cryogenic sample processing and analysis and laboratory software, identifying and documenting system bugs and then communicating them to development teams for resolution.
From 2015 to 2018, Ms. Berger thrived as a geologist at Geotechnology Inc., where she specialized in construction inspection with an emphasis on testing construction materials and deep foundations. She also played a key role in the River Des Peres Tunnel project and was responsible for training staff and developing standardized processes for tool usage. Her foundational professional experience includes working as a barista at La Dolce Via from 2012 to 2013, where she gained insights about customer service, and in 2011, Ms. Berger served as a consultant for Lafarge, applying her scientific background to industry-specific challenges.
Exceptional academic credentials further define Ms. Berger's profile. She holds an Associate of Arts in geology and fine art from St. Louis Community College, which she completed in 2005 before pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Missouri State University in 2009. Additionally, she earned a Master of Science in Geospatial Sciences in Geography, Geology, and Planning in 2011, during which time she excelled as a graduate research and teaching assistant and core laboratory technician. Ms. Berger also gained critical field experience as a laboratory technician and graduate research assistant at Ozarks Environmental and Water Resources Institute between 2008 and 2009.
Ms. Berger has accepted numerous honors in recognition of her achievements, including the Clayton H. Johnson Award from the Missouri Academy of Sciences in 2011. She also secured third place at the Missouri State University Interdisciplinary Forum in 2011 and the second-place award in design as the Art and Life editor of the student newspaper at the College Media Association National Convention in 2005. Ms. Berger is also an avid trivia fan and has consistently hosted weekly trivia for Quest Trivia since 2022 and Tenacious Trivia from 2012 to 2014.
A passion for continuous learning has driven Ms. Berger to secure multiple industry designations. She has held the OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour safety certifications, certification in SAFe 5 scrum master from SAFe by Scaled Agile Inc., level-one certification from the American Concrete Institute, and nuclear radiation safety certification from the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Ms. Berger is currently pursuing the Missouri Master Naturalist certification through the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Ms. Berger attributes her advancement to the strong support system provided by her family and friends. She also values opportunities to serve others and is proud to have acted as the social media coordinator and as a board member for Geekway to the West since 2022. Additionally, she worked as a bone laboratory technician at the Saint Louis Science Center from 2003 to 2005, and Ms. Berger is the proud new executive board member and treasurer of Meeples for Peeples, further demonstrating her commitment to community service.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Berger will persist in her work to drive process improvement initiatives at Boeing while actively promoting a culture of change within the organization.
