LAKELAND, TN, June 11, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Chris Hughes has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Marked by more than three decades of dedicated service and accomplishments in the health care sector, Mr. Hughes has led a distinguished career in infection management and medical device executive management. As president and chief executive officer of OsteoRemedies, LLC — founded in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2013 — he has built the company into a market leader in infection management, maintaining its unique position as the only organization to exclusively focus on this area.

Mr. Hughes' vision to build the largest infection management company has been realized, with OsteoRemedies holding a prominent place in an industry that, while relatively small compared to the broader multibillion-dollar orthopedic sector, remains critical for procedures such as total joints, knees, hips, shoulders, biologics and spinal deformities. His ability to lead teams of varying sizes and guide both small and large organizations has been pivotal in achieving this milestone.

Also a recognized expert in servant-leadership, Mr. Hughes is praised for fostering collaborative cultures that empower his team members at all levels to find success and know their value. Alongside his work at OsteoRemedies, he is an active sponsor of several industry organizations including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, The Hip Society and The Knee Society.

Prior to founding OsteoRemedies, Mr. Hughes gained valuable experience as president of business development at PDP Holdings, LLC from 2012 to 2013. In this capacity, he was responsible for identifying growth opportunities and developing strategic partnerships that contributed to the company's expansion within the healthcare sector.

From 2008 to 2012, Mr. Hughes held the role of president at Paradigm Spine, LLC, a leading provider of fusion and non-fusion spinal implants for surgeons and patients in need. During his tenure, he oversaw significant advancements in product development and market penetration for advanced spinal solutions and tissue-sparing technologies.

Serving as a group director at Medtronic from 2000 to 2008, Mr. Hughes managed cross-functional teams and played a key role in driving sales and marketing initiatives for medical devices throughout the Memphis metropolitan area.

Earlier in his career, from 1993 to 2000, Mr. Hughes excelled as the director of sales and marketing at Medical Devices Manufacturing. This initial role saw him develop his expertise in launching new products and build effective sales strategies that positioned the company for long-term success.

Mr. Hughes began his professional journey as a captain in the United States Army from 1989 to 1993, which instilled in him a strong foundation in leadership and discipline that would later inform his approach as an executive. He credits his transition from the dominant leadership style he learned in the military to adopting servant-leadership principles as pivotal to his success in corporate healthcare environments.

Hailing from an equally accomplished academic background, Mr. Hughes earned a Master of Business Administration in international business from Chaminade University of Honolulu in 1997 and a Bachelor of Science in marketing with a minor in military science from the University of Tampa in 1989. To further his understanding of both business strategy and operational execution, he was certified in financial management for the non-financial manager by University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

Mr. Hughes' entry into the medical device field followed his military service when he was recruited by a firm that specialized in placing junior military officers into corporate roles. After considering positions with major consumer companies such as Kraft and Procter & Gamble, he chose to pursue medical sales — a decision that led to rapid advancement into sales management and ultimately shaped his long-term career trajectory within medical device marketing.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Hughes has long been committed to civic endeavors through leadership roles as past co-chairman of the Brain Tumor Foundation in New York City and current chairman of One Family Memphis and Memphis Rox. In honor of his outstanding contributions to both his industry and community, he was recognized with the Outstanding Alumni Award from his alma mater at the University of Tampa.

In his personal life, Mr. Hughes is a proud father of four and cherishes spending time with his children. His eldest daughter is also working in medical devices in medical education and marketing for robotic spinal technologies at Medtronic; his middle daughter is a certified public accountant at Deloitte in Washington D.C.; his third daughter is completing her senior year of college; and his son is currently a sophomore in college. As a balance to his professional responsibilities, he maintains an active lifestyle through outdoor activities such as golf, skiing and fly fishing.

Determined to further his impact in the coming years, Mr. Hughes intends to speak, teach, motivate and write books sharing his knowledge and microleadership approach — a variant of servant-leadership — and remains dedicated to supporting his children's independence as they complete their education and begin their own careers. Professionally, he aims to continue expanding OsteoRemedies while preparing for succession planning so that future leaders can expand upon his vision and industry innovation for the benefit of generations to come.
