Linda D. Puchbauer honored for more than 45 years of professional service

JACKSON, MO, June 12, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Linda D. Puchbauer has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Puchbauer has established a distinguished career spanning over 45 years, marked by her expertise in exceptional customer service and financial statement review. For the past 20 years, she has served as a credentialing specialist at the Community Counseling Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, a regional behavioral health institution employing 488 staff members, including 74 doctors, nurse practitioners and therapists.

In this capacity, Ms. Puchbauer collaborates closely with medical professionals and manages relationships with 30 insurance companies, ensuring all paperwork is meticulously completed so the center receives timely payment for patient services. Her responsibilities also include overseeing documentation for insurance approvals and engaging in extensive networking activities. Her dedication and attention to detail have earned her the Employee of the Month award twice at the Community Counseling Center, six years apart.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Puchbauer spent four years as an agent with Prudential Financial from 2001 to 2004. During her tenure, she obtained a life insurance license, a long-term care license and Series 6, 63 and 65 securities licenses. Additionally, with her success she opened her own company under Prudential's umbrella - Eagle Insurance and Financial Services.

Ms. Puchbauer's professional journey began with a 23-year career in banking from 1978 to 2001, where she held senior positions, including branch manager and commercial loan officer at Montgomery Bank, Bank of America, Nations Bank and Boatmen's Bank. Her focus on relationship building contributed significantly to her success. She was honored with the Banker of the Year state award from the Missouri Bankers Association in 1999. She also received the Spirit of America Award, President's Award and LEND Award through Bank of America and for her outstanding sales performance was recognized with incentive trips to the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and San Francisco.

Ms. Puchbauer's educational background includes coursework in accounting and accounting law at Southeast Missouri State University, which provided a strong foundation for her roles in banking, finance and credentialing. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1978. Furthering her professional standing, she has also maintained active memberships in several industry-related organizations, such as the Jackson, Cape Girardeau, and Scott City Chambers of Commerce. She is also an All American RedHawks Club member at Southeast Missouri State University.

Reflecting on her career, Ms. Puchbauer attributes her success not only to personal effort but also to her ability to inspire others and foster effective teamwork. She also gives credit to her mother, who was her mentor. Currently leading a team of 74 within Rotary Club initiatives, Ms. Puchbauer emphasizes that leadership is about guiding others toward collective achievement.

Ms. Puchbauer has also served as charter president of the Rotary Club of Southeast Missouri Service since 2021, where she has demonstrated exceptional leadership by helping establish a new club that grew from 24 to 74 members while completing more than 500 service projects. She holds the state record in Missouri for bringing in the most members to a Rotary Club—101 members—a testament to her commitment to community service and organizational growth.

Ms. Puchbauer's involvement with Rotary International spans over two decades. She began her Rotary journey in 2000 with a five-week cultural exchange in England, where she studied British culture, lived with Rotarians and presented about life in Missouri. Upon returning home, she shared these experiences with local clubs, igniting a passion for service that continues today. She served as governor of District 6060 from 2018 to 2019, overseeing 2,000 members across 52 clubs, and will serve as president of Show Me Rotary for Missouri from July 2027 to June 2028—a role that includes planning statewide training seminars for incoming club presidents.

Beyond Rotary, Ms. Puchbauer's civic work has included serving on the Community Counseling Center Foundation Board for 19 years, where she played a pivotal role in fundraising by chairing the Craft Beer Festival for eight years. She is also chairman of the education committee for Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce and involved with the Women Network Groups at the Jackson Chamber and Cape Girardeau Chambers of Commerce. She volunteers every Sunday morning in the children's department at her local church she volunteers for all three services.

In recognition of her achievements, Ms. Puchbauer's accolades include the B Magazine Difference Makers Leadership Award in 2022, and she has been featured as one of the Faces of Southeast Missouri in the Southeast Missourian Newspaper. She is also honored as the first individual ever to be in the program of "Friends of the Cashbook Journal" newspaper.

She was awarded Rotarian of the Year Award in 2010 and an honor for helping her Rotary Club earn Nonprofit of the Year honors in January 2026. She is also a Charter member of the Rotary Alumni Association since 2012. Additionally, at Rotary International she is member of the Bequest Society, Membership Society, Benefactor, and Major Donor.

In her personal life, Ms. Puchbauer is the proud mother of two children and enjoys traveling and collecting decorative thimbles from places she visits. Looking ahead, she intends to continue contributing to the Community Counseling Center while further expanding membership within her Rotary Club by attracting individuals dedicated to community service. Her legacy is defined by an unwavering commitment to excellence, leadership that inspires others and an enduring passion for making a positive difference wherever she serves.
