One of his proudest accomplishments was leading an operation that involved 160 personnel tasked with loading helicopters, trucks and tanks onto ships at Pearl Harbor for deployment to South Korea — a complex exercise that underscored his leadership abilities as a reservist. His exemplary service within the Navy saw him presented with the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.

Alongside his primary roles, Dr. Brockmeier's professional affiliations reflect his standing within both legal and military communities. He has held membership in the American Society of Trial Consultants. He is a life member of the American Legion and holds membership with the United States Naval Institute. He was a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association — where he served as president-elect in 1989 — and the American Bar Association. Among his proudest accomplishments during this era was handling his first major lawsuit single-handedly, representing a physician against an experienced opposing counsel and securing a favorable outcome due in part to the fairness of the presiding judge.

Dr. Brockmeier's comfort with medical terminology led him to specialize in medical malpractice law early on, eventually becoming a partner at his firm before transitioning into trial consulting work that focused on supporting attorneys and advocating for vulnerable populations such as nursing home residents. He has deftly navigated the intricacies at the intersection of law and psychology throughout his career, allowing him to make a fulfilling impact while helping others through everything he does.

Driven by intellectual curiosity and a desire to blend legal expertise with psychological insight, Dr. Brockmeier continued his education and earned a Doctor of Philosophy in psychology from Union Institute and University in 2004.
