SCHAUMBURG, IL, June 17, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ayesha Jamaspi, PhD, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Dr. Jamaspi is an industrial-organizational psychologist who has spent more than two decades translating behavioral science into practical organizational impact. She currently serves as Director of Talent Development at Bitwise Inc., an information technology services and consulting firm in Schaumburg, Illinois. Since stepping into this leadership role, she has shaped the employee experience from the ground up, bringing psychometric rigor to leadership development and the strategic processes that support it. Her work has drawn recognition from peers and leadership alike, including employee nominations for her support and the CEO Award in 2026.
Dr. Jamaspi's tenure at Bitwise reflects a steady ascent. As Sr. Manager of Talent Development and People Analytics from 2020 to 2022, she led data-driven initiatives in merit-based talent management, learning platforms, and organizational growth. In earlier roles as Executive of Talent Development and People Analytics from 2017 to 2018, and Executive of Human Capital Development from 2016 to 2017, she helped shape the company's approach to human capital strategy and employee assessment, earning the Employee of the Quarter Award for her contributions.
Her path to corporate leadership was grounded in research. From 2015 to 2016, Dr. Jamaspi served as lead researcher for a leadership progression study at Roosevelt University in Chicago, a qualitative study of nearly 100 leaders worldwide that ultimately shaped leadership development frameworks. From 2014 to 2015, she was Assistant Director at the university's Organizational Effectiveness Consulting Center, where she contributed to research aimed at strengthening business retention and hiring assessments. One of those studies was presented to the Village of Schaumburg Council, earning Dr. Jamaspi and her research a feature in the Daily Herald.
Dr. Jamaspi's career began in India, where she built a reputation for both technical depth and impact. As a global talent assessment and development consultant at Tata Consultancy Services from 2008 to 2010, she was part of the team that pioneered the firm's roles and competency framework and developed psychometric instruments still central to its talent practices. Her expertise led to her selection for a high-profile US consulting engagement, where the client requested her by name. Earlier at TCS, she served as head of learning and development for the Baroda region in western India, following roles as a senior human resources executive from 2007 to 2008 and lead human resources trainer from 2005 to 2007. She later worked independently as a talent assessment and development consultant in Mumbai from 2010 to 2013, providing psychometric testing and organizational development services to a range of clients.
The achievement Dr. Jamaspi values most is the decision she made at age 30. She was, by every external measure, thriving: established in her career, financially secure, and respected in her field, surrounded by family, friends, and the comfort of a life she had built in India. Yet she chose to leave all of it behind to pursue a dream she could not ignore. As Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam observed, "dreams are not what you see while you sleep, but what keeps you from sleeping," and for Dr. Jamaspi, earning her doctorate was exactly that, a calling that gave her no rest, both figuratively and quite literally.
Holding a master's degree in general psychology, she weighed her options carefully and committed to industrial-organizational psychology, the field that would come to define her career. Moving to the United States meant starting over in nearly every sense, living on her own for the first time, finding her financial footing, and adjusting to an unfamiliar country far from everything she knew. There was a stretch she now remembers as a year without sleep, working, attending classes, and writing her dissertation all at once. It demanded everything she had. But the independence she earned in those years, hard-won and entirely her own, remains one of her proudest achievements and continues to shape who she is.
Her academic credentials are extensive. Dr. Jamaspi earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management from the University of Mumbai, graduating with honors in 2004, followed by a Master of Arts in Sociology from the same institution in 2011 and a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Madras the following year, both earned while working. She went on to complete a Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology in 2015 and a Doctor of Philosophy in the same field in 2017, both from Roosevelt University.
She has further strengthened her analytical expertise through professional certifications, including structured problem solving in quantitative data analysis from Tata Consultancy Services and a certificate in cognitive behavioral therapy from Heart to Heart Counseling, both in 2009, as well as certification in behavioral assessment skills from VSS Consultants in 2007.
Much of Dr. Jamaspi's drive traces back to her parents, whose influence shaped her in distinct but equally vital ways. Her mother was, in her time, among the rare women to graduate college and build a career of her own, independent at an age when most of her peers were already married with children, though she ultimately set aside her own ambitions after marriage. From her, Dr. Jamaspi inherited a fierce belief in education and independence, the conviction that a woman should build a life of her own. Her father gave her something equally foundational: the assurance of being there, always and unconditionally, standing by her through every decision and every turn of her path. She is the first to say she could not have achieved what she has without him. Together, they prioritized their children's education despite societal norms that often limited opportunities for women, instilling in her a deep regard for independence and learning that remains the foundation of all she has accomplished.
Her commitment to others extends well beyond her career. Beginning in her college years, she volunteered her time with the National Association for the Blind, regularly visiting schools for students with visual impairments to read aloud, a practice she continues during her visits to India today. At Tata Consultancy Services, she was part of a corporate social responsibility initiative focused on improving employment opportunities for people with visual impairments. She is also a donor to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
In her personal life, Dr. Jamaspi enjoys writing poetry, knitting and crocheting, exploring topics within her field, and running as a counterbalance to her professional and civic pursuits.
Looking ahead, Dr. Jamaspi plans to become a published author, teach in academia, and deepen her community outreach, particularly in support of children's education through inner-city schools and community programs. Her focus remains on empowering young learners by building confidence, inspiring achievement, and expanding opportunity for those with fewer resources, both inside and outside the traditional classroom.
From a single bold decision at thirty to a career spent unlocking what people are capable of, Dr. Jamaspi's story is, at its heart, about the power of believing in oneself. A scientist of human potential, she is still writing the next chapter of her own. Her life's work has been helping others rise, and her own story shows exactly why that matters.
