LAS VEGAS, NV, June 17, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jon A. Coats has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Coats has established a distinguished career in massage therapy and bodywork, marked by more than 25 years of professional experience and a reputation for expertise in advanced modalities. Since 2022, he has served as massage therapist at Wynn Las Vegas. In 2024 he became the lead therapist over training where he manages communication with therapists regarding daily operations, balances the books, addresses staff inquiries, oversees training initiatives, updates the team on current protocols, assists managers with operations, keeps staff informed about changes in treatments, and adapts to updated computer systems. His leadership at Wynn Las Vegas reflects his commitment to operational excellence and the well-being of both clients and colleagues.
Also in 2022, Mr. Coats held the position of opening lead massage therapist at Resorts World Las Vegas LLC, the most expensive property on the strip at the time. In this capacity, he contributed to the launch and development of spa services at one of the city's premier resorts. His responsibilities included guiding new therapists through onboarding processes and ensuring adherence to high standards of client care.
From 2006 to 2022, Mr. Coats was a licensed massage therapist at Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa. During his tenure, he became a familiar face in the local community through his participation in the "We Love Locals" advertising campaign. He was featured in a full-page advertisement and appeared on local television promoting the spa. He was lead therapist for 7 years and one of those years with the new spa management company Trilogy. He also was an opening therapist for the Palms Place Spa and stayed on for five years as an on-call therapist on his days off.
At the start of his career in 2000 Mr. Coats worked as an opening therapist at Aladdin Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas @ the Elemis spa-that later became Planet Hollywood This foundational role provided him with valuable experience in hospitality-focused wellness services and set the stage for his subsequent achievements.
In addition to his work as a practitioner, Mr. Coats has contributed to the education of future therapists as a full-time instructor at European Massage Therapy School, as a teacher at Utah College of Massage Therapy and the Nevada School of Massage Therapy. His dedication to teaching reflects his passion for sharing knowledge and elevating standards within the profession.
Mr. Coats is recognized for his expertise in structural integration and craniosacral therapy—two advanced modalities that require significant training and skill. He is board certified BCTMB since 2001 and holds yoga certification taught by Annie Carpenter.
His educational background includes coursework in structural bodywork with an emphasis on the Ida P. Rolf Method at Utah College of Massage Therapy, completed in 2001. This training was instrumental in shaping his approach to bodywork and provided him with direct lineage to pioneers in the field. His teacher Andy Crow was a personal assistant to Ida P. Rolf herself, making Mr. Coats part of a second-generation tradition in structural integration. He also trained under Chas Perry, one of John Upledger's handpicked instructors for craniosacral therapy.
Throughout his career, Mr. Coats has attributed his success to persistence and focus. He emphasizes the importance of passion for one's work, a lesson reinforced by his own experiences working long hours in challenging environments. His initial expectations of practicing massage therapy in glamorous locations gave way to an appreciation for the satisfaction that comes from helping others heal.
Beyond traditional massage therapy, Mr. Coats has explored energy healing practices such as Pranic Healing and Reiki, having studied under a student of Grand Master Teacher Hawayo Takata. While he does not advertise these services commercially, he offers energy work upon request when individuals seek it out. He draws inspiration from figures such as Michael Landon, who sought energy healing during illness, and Dr. Masaru Emoto and his research on how words and intentions can influence physical well-being.
Civically minded, he has participated in initiatives such as Feed the Funnel at Wynn Las Vegas, demonstrating his commitment to giving back to the community. Raised within a Mormon family, Mr. Coats' upbringing shaped his values and worldview. He served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Washington D.C., an experience that further developed his sense of service and compassion for others. Identifying as a seventh son—a title often associated with special healing abilities—he has embraced both traditional beliefs and modern therapeutic techniques throughout his life.
