NEW YORK, NY, June 18, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Debbie A. Weiser has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Marked by four decades of expertise in casualty claims, underwriting management and leadership development, Ms. Weiser is a highly accomplished figure in the insurance sector. As the founder and chief executive officer of Insure-Academy, she is dedicated to creating instructional content for classes, developing educational materials and advancing business development initiatives for insurance professionals as well as those new to the industry. Known for her willingness to embrace new challenges and take calculated risks rather than follow conventional paths, she regularly volunteers to take on new projects and roles — an approach that has shaped her reputation as an innovator in project and portfolio management.

In her leadership role, Ms. Weiser meets with insurance consultancy executives and industry leaders, facilitates strategic brainstorming sessions to identify opportunities for assistance and collaboration, and supports initiatives within the educational sector. Coordinating with educational institutions, carriers, brokers, and MGA's and other institutions that offer insurance programs, she strives to enhance academic and industry partnerships while assisting recent graduates in securing employment opportunities within the field.

The founding of Insure-Academy marked a pivotal moment in Ms. Weiser's career. After her previous employer announced the sale of her division in early 2026, she recognized an opportunity to channel her passion for teaching, coaching and developing leaders into her own enterprise. Drawing on her extensive experience on the casualty side of the insurance industry, she quickly secured her first client through active networking. Her reputation for educating younger generations and developing leaders has positioned her as a sought-after resource among professionals eager for her guidance, and she in turn is continually developing a new syllabus specifically tailored to their needs.

From 2017 to 2026, Ms. Weiser served as senior vice president and head of excess casualty at Everest Group, Ltd., where she was pivotal in building the company's excess casualty department from its inception to nearly $500 million in written premium. She is particularly proud of assembling a high-caliber team of underwriters whose talents were widely recognized within the market; following the discontinuation of the division, every member of her team secured strong positions elsewhere — a testament to their collective performance as well as her leadership.

Ms. Weiser's tenure at Travelers Insurance saw her excel in several leadership roles from 2001 to 2016. As president of the excess casualty division for five years, she managed a team of 100 professionals within 35 offices across the United States and oversaw significant profit-and-loss responsibilities — an experience she describes as the pinnacle of her career to date. Prior to this role, she was the eastern zone vice president from 2008 to 2012 and field executive from 2005 to 2008, during which she led regional operations and contributed to numerous strategic growth initiatives.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Weiser worked in various capacities at Chubb for more than a decade. She was the McKinsey project team lead for closed file review processes from 2000 to 2001, successfully reducing loss payments and overseeing the company's control loss ratio. Her foundational roles at Chubb include claim business consultant manager from 1995 to 1998, New York casualty claim manager from 1990 to 1995 and casualty claims adjuster from 1986 to 1990, each of which contributed to her comprehensive understanding of claims operations and set the foundation for her later achievements in underwriting and executive leadership.

Alongside her primary roles, Ms. Weiser has made an impact within multiple industry-related organizations as a member of C200 from 2015 to 2017 and as co-chair of the Advisen Casualty Conference in 2015.

Before venturing onto her vocational path, Ms. Weiser pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor of Science in international business management from Boston University in 1982. Influenced by early exposure to the insurance industry through family connections — including a formative summer internship at American International Group's (AIG) New York office at age 17 — she became increasingly familiar with industry terminology even before entering college. A subsequent position at AIG's Boston office during her senior year solidified her interest in pursuing a career in insurance.

Upon her graduation, Ms. Weiser proactively sought opportunities by contacting every insurance company in Boston, soon launching her career after being hired by a claims manager who recognized her potential during their initial conversation.

Another key factor in Ms. Weiser's success is what she describes as her "personal board of directors" — a group comprised of family members, colleagues and mentors who have provided her with honest feedback and guidance throughout pivotal moments in her life. She has developed an entire program around this concept, encouraging others to cultivate trusted advisers who can help navigate personal and professional decisions.

Also recognized for her devotion to civic engagement, Ms. Weiser has served on several boards that focus on education and women's advancement. From 2016 to 2018, she was a member of the board of directors for Virtual Enterprises International with an emphasis on college and career readiness initiatives. Since 2012, she has served on the board, as a mentor and on the emeritus council for WOMEN in America Inc., supporting mentorship, education and networking programs designed to empower women professionals to thrive in their chosen fields.

Ms. Weiser's accomplishments and exemplary leadership have seen her recognized through multiple accolades over the years. She was named among the Intelligent Insurer Influential Women of 2018 by Everest Group and named as a Woman to Watch by Reinsurance Magazine in acknowledgement of her success at Travelers Insurance in 2013.

Outside of her professional commitments, Ms. Weiser maintains an active lifestyle through hobbies such as attending Broadway shows, theater performances, traveling — often accompanied by her 11-year-old black pug Mabel — lifting weights, hiking and walking. She frequently visits Florida where her brother resides while maintaining close ties with her family across the United States.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Weiser aims for Insure-Academy to become a respected educational institution within the insurance industry by building relationships with clients such as insurance brokers and supporting graduating students as they transition into their careers. She also seeks to balance these ambitions with personal fulfillment by continuing her travel pursuits each quarter while managing her business operations.

Ms. Weiser's life and legacy are defined by trailblazing leadership within the casualty insurance space, dedication to guiding future generations, and an enduring commitment to innovation, education and collaboration across all facets of her distinguished career.
