Mr. Cain's professional journey spans both education and pastoral ministry; beginning his career in administration after earning a teaching certificate, he initially served as vice principal of student services at Forest Lake Academy before advancing to become principal of a high school in Maryland. His transition into pastoral ministry was marked by his graduation from Andrews University in 1989 with a Master of Divinity, which followed a Bachelor of Arts in religion from Southern Adventist University.

Upon completing his schooling, Mr. Cain held various positions including associate pastor at Markham Woods SDA church. Additionally, he served as pastor of two small churches in north Florida and associate pastor at Forest Lake SDA Church in Apopka, Florida, where he focused on marriage and family ministries for a congregation of about 3,500 members. Dedicated to the ideals of continuous growth in educational, pastoral and healthcare settings, he was certified as a life coach by the Florida Conference Department of Education in 2009 and holds a certificate in clergy counseling.

Alongside his work in healthcare and chaplaincy, community service has been a consistent theme throughout Mr. Cain's life. He has volunteered with disaster relief groups through pastoral ministry and provided counseling services within various local churches. His commitment extends to volunteering with employee assistance programs and mission trips at AdventHealth and participating in pastoral initiatives with many non-profits in Marion County, Florida.

Mr. Cain's longstanding dedication to helping those in need has seen him recognized with numerous accolades over the years, including the 30-Year Service Award and distinguished community service awards from Marion County, all from AdventHealth. He has also received student sportsmanship honors and achievement awards, underscoring his commitment to excellence throughout every stage of his journey.

Also a prolific writer, Mr. Cain has authored 50 LinkedIn posts to date, focusing on whole-person care, human connection, and reducing aloneness during life's most difficult moments, drawing on decades of experience in pastoral ministry and healthcare — posts that have resonated with audiences both domestically and internationally. He is currently finalizing his manuscript for "When the Light Shines Through," a 200-page, 16-chapter book that encapsulates moving stories of presence and connection during critical moments in people's lives.

Reflecting on his storied journey to date, Mr. Cain considers his most notable achievement to be his ability to connect deeply with individuals during their times of greatest need, fostering a deeper compassion commitment in healthcare culture where human connection is not only valued but practiced daily by members of the organization.
