Prior to her current position, Ms. Wen was a partner in capital syndication at Advantary Capital Partners from 2025 to 2026. Between 2019 and 2023, Ms. Wen was mergers and acquisitions lead in corporate development at OpenText Corporation. One of her most notable achievements during this tenure was overseeing the largest acquisition conducted by OpenText: the acquisition of Micro Focus, a United Kingdom-based firm that effectively doubled OpenText's enterprise value. This significant accomplishment required extensive collaboration across treasury, public relations, labour regulatory, and other functions to manage complex cross-border transactions.

From 2017 to 2019, Ms. Wen worked in mergers and acquisitions strategy and business development at Han's Laser Technology Industry Group Company Limited in Shenzhen, China. She played a crucial role in acquiring CorActive, a Quebec City-based company. Traveling to Shenzhen, she established a wholly owned foreign subsidiary for Han's Laser within three months, navigating litigation and compliance requirements while driving over 30 percent growth and forming a team of junior professionals to support ongoing operations.

Earlier in her career, from 2013 to 2017, Ms. Wen managed Technology and Financial Institutions Group portfolios at Fonds Alpha in Montreal through a student-led partnership with Desjardins Bank, one of the region's largest banks.
