HAYESVILLE, NC, June 23, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael Ross Ault has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Marked by a series of progressive roles and notable achievements across database system management, tuning and troubleshooting, Mr. Ault has led a distinguished career in the information technology sector. Since 2021, he has served as the enterprise support engineer for Oracle databases at Rimini Street Inc., where he provides global support for more than 2,000 companies that utilize Oracle archives, VMware and Systems, Applications and Products (SAP).

In his capacity, Mr. Ault is responsible for solving complex problems for clients who have transitioned their support to third parties or eliminated their database administrators. His expertise contributes significantly to both business continuity and system reliability as he troubleshoots technical issues in enterprise database applications, collaborating with his team members to effectively address the needs and day-to-day operations of their clients.

Prior to joining Rimini Street, Mr. Ault was employed by IBM from 2012 to 2019, following the company's acquisition of Texas Memory Systems where he had worked for three years. During his tenure at both organizations, he became recognized as an expert in Oracle databases and IBM Storage FlashSystem technology as he aided in the adoption and optimization of these programs within enterprise environments.

Mr. Ault also spent three years with Burleson Consulting, where he further honed his skills in Oracle database management, tuning and troubleshooting. His reputation as a leading authority in the field was solidified through his work on high-profile projects and his ability to deliver innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Ault undertook a nine-month assignment with ABC Consulting, during which he played a key role in implementing the first video-on-demand system in Europe with Tele-Italia in Rome, Italy. This international experience broadened his perspective and allowed him to develop his leadership skills in diverse professional settings.

Mr. Ault began his professional journey with service in the United States Navy from 1973 to 1979, during which he served aboard submarines and achieved nuclear qualification. This formative period instilled in him a fierce work ethic, discipline and determination — qualities that have underpinned his subsequent success across multiple industries. Following his military service, he dedicated an additional decade to working in the nuclear sector before transitioning into information technology with Oracle software in 1990.

Extending his contributions into authorship and thought leadership within the technology sector, Mr. Ault has written and published more than 20 books on Oracle operations and computer science — most of which he wrote independently — which have positively impacted readers worldwide. Among the most fulfilling moments in his career are when he receives communications from professionals who credit his books with launching their own careers. He has also participated in round-robin presentations on Oracle technology in the Middle East on two occasions, sharing the knowledge and experience he has accumulated over more than three decades.

Near the start of his information technology journey, Mr. Ault also pursued higher education and earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from Kennedy-Western University (now Warren National University) in 1991. Dedicated to the ideals of continuous learning, he has earned 12 certifications that further attest to his proficiency across various platforms and technologies.

Reflecting on his storied journey to date, Mr. Ault attributes much of his success to the early encouragement he received to follow his personal aspirations and pursue what he believed was right. Emphasizing initiative and perseverance, he believes that achievement requires effort and sacrifice — a philosophy he has exemplified throughout every stage of his career. His willingness to embrace opportunities has led him to reside in 12 of the United States as well as Rome, all of which has fostered his adaptability and resilience.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Ault is deeply committed to civic engagement and philanthropy. He is an active supporter of an orphanage in Uganda and a church in the Philippines, as well as a donor to Joyce Meyer Ministries, local churches and various charity organizations that aid children from underserved communities.

On a personal level, Mr. Ault has been happily married to his wife Susan for more than 50 years; together they have two children, Cynthia Marie and Michelle Elizabeth, as well as seven grandchildren. As a balance to his professional endeavors, he enjoys using artificial intelligence to compose lyrics for music across genres including blues, country western, gospel and rock — he has created more than 100 songs thus far — as well as writing, painting, blacksmithing and woodworking.

Determined to expand his horizons even further in the coming years, Mr. Ault plans to focus more on creative pursuits such as writing fiction; he has recently adapted one of his books into a six-part series inspired by his "World in Darkness" collection and hopes to pitch the project to producers for platforms such as Netflix. This narrative follows a computer consultant who is navigating North America in the wake of a post-electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack while striving to reunite with family members amid adversity.

Mr. Ault's enduring commitment to excellence in all he does — shaped by his formative experiences in the United States Navy, advanced education and international professional accomplishments — continues to inspire those around him both within the technology sector and around the world.
