Prior to founding The Black Foundation, Mr. Kirby built a strong leadership career in commercial real estate, marketing and business development. He was a senior leasing agent at Legacy Commercial Property from 2020 to 2025 and spent 9 years with Highland Ventures Ltd., where he held roles including field marketing manager, district manager, and general manager. In these positions, he led initiatives that enhanced brand visibility, operational performance, and market growth.

Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Kirby earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in 2023, a distinction that reflects advanced expertise in commercial real estate investment. He remains actively engaged in the industry, serving as global vice chair of The CCIM Institute membership committee and contributing to organizations including The CCIM Foundation, CRE615 and the Urban Land Institute of Nashville - Pathways Program, where he supports the next generation of commercial real estate professionals.

Mr. Kirby holds a Bachelor of Science in electronic media and film with an emphasis in entertainment management and a minor in sociology from Northern Arizona University, as well as an associate degree from Mesa Community College. He has also completed leadership training through The CCIM Institute's JWL Leadership Academy.
