Dr. Shannon attributes his perseverance through setbacks to his guiding principle that success is inevitable when failure is not an option. This mindset has enabled him to overcome discouragements throughout his life. Looking ahead, Dr. Shannon hopes to transition from a staff member to a faculty teaching position at Texas Christian University so he can engage more directly with a captive audience of students inside the classroom. He is also mapping out plans for a book based on his research into coaching and the transfer of agency.
