Prior to returning to the United States, Dr. Chutipongtanate excelled as a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand, from 2012 to 2021. During this period, he played a vital role in pediatric education and clinical research while advancing innovative projects in immunology, proteomics and outpatient service.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Chutipongtanate completed his pediatric residency at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University from 2013 to 2016, during which he developed the clinical expertise that would inform his later research endeavors. For two years, he contributed as a researcher at the Center for Research in Complex Systems Science at Mahidol University, focusing on interdisciplinary approaches to biomedical challenges. He began his academic career as a faculty member at the Medical Proteomic Unit within the Office for Research and Development at Siriraj Hospital from 2009 to 2012.

Dr. Chutipongtanate's educational foundation is rooted in both rigorous training and advanced scholarship. Graduating with second class honors, he earned a Doctor of Medicine as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in immunology, both from Mahidol University. In 2016, he completed the pediatrics residency program and was certified to practice by the Thai Board of Paediatrics through Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. His tireless commitment to scientific advancement led him to postdoctoral training in mass spectrometric proteomics and bioinformatics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2019.

To complement his formal degrees, Dr. Chutipongtanate holds multiple professional certifications that have enhanced his research capabilities. Further reflecting his standing within the scientific community, Dr. Chutipongtanate is a senior member of the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles, a lifetime member of the Protein Society of Thailand, and is affiliated with the American Society for Mass Spectrometry as well as the Human Proteome Organization. Also known for his devotion to civic engagement and service, he has volunteered as a doctor and provided medical support through Siriraj Hospital and with the Thai Army during the tragic flooding events in Thailand in 2011.

Dr. Chutipongtanate's outstanding contributions have seen him recognized with numerous accolades over the years. In 2025, he was named among Elsevier and Stanford University's Top 2% Scientists worldwide.
