At just 11 years old, he persuaded the distribution manager for the Norwalk Hour newspaper to allow him to become a paper boy despite being underage. He quickly expanded his route from a handful of subscribers to 135 within a year and a half, showcasing his natural aptitude for business and customer relations.

Mr. Kuehn's academic background includes his studies at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT in Psychology and Economics. He credits his perseverance and faith as key factors in his success, drawing inspiration from Psalm 40 and maintaining that with God on his side, defeat is not an option. A defining aspect of his character is his deep faith and gratitude for overcoming adversity. He often carries cards inscribed with messages of encouragement and scripture, which he shares with those in need of reassurance or support.

Throughout his life, Mr. Kuehn has faced significant personal challenges. In 2017, he was diagnosed with throat cancer and endured over two years of intensive treatment. Now a survivor, he attributes his recovery first and foremost to Jesus Christ and believes he was spared for a greater purpose.

This conviction has fueled Mr. Kuehn's philanthropic endeavors, most notably through the establishment of the Huyck-Kuehn Family Foundation Corp in 2021, named after his wife and himself. As the Executive Director, he dedicates substantial time to supporting deserving students who lack the financial means to pursue higher education. The foundation actively bridges this gap by providing resources and guidance.

Mr. Kuehn's commitment to service extends beyond his own foundation. He is a benefactor to several organizations including the Gary Sinise Foundation, Kairos Prison Ministry International, Life Choices of Roxboro, The Salvation Army of Durham, the Piedmont Community College Foundation, Build Your Smile Dental Foundation and Tunnels to Towers.
