LAS VEGAS, NV, July 09, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jacqueline Brown has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mrs. Brown has established herself as a dedicated specialized procedures nurse and licensed practical nurse with Clark County School District — the largest school district in the State of Nevada — since 2023. In her capacity, she performs specialized nursing care, treatments and medical procedures for students who are impacted by intellectual, emotional and/or physical disabilities delegated under the direction of the school nurse. Her role also extends to providing student safety/healthcare needs during school hours in various school site environments helping in the health office, addressing everything from basic first aid to emergency situations requiring 911 intervention. Extending her commitment to holistic healthcare beyond patients to include their families as well, she recognizes the importance of supporting parents and caregivers, particularly during challenging times such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
One of Mrs. Brown's most significant and notable professional achievements was her care of a medically fragile infant. Taking over care from another nurse, she rebuilt the family's trust in the medical community by providing them with comprehensive support and education. She taught the parents essential skills such as time management, connection, conflict resolution and helping them embrace their roles as a family unit.
Over the course of a year, Mrs. Brown coordinated remote speech therapy sessions via FaceTime and collaborated with physical therapists and other specialists to ensure continuity of care during the Pandemic. Through her tireless dedication and exemplary teamwork, the child progressed remarkably, learning to walk and talk, becoming enteral-independent, and no longer requiring daily one-to-one nursing care.
Prior to joining Clark County School District, Mrs. Brown served as a member of the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) at the United States Department of Veterans Affairs from 2022 to 2023. In this role, she contributed to the delivery of coordinated healthcare services for military veterans, earning recognition for her compassionate approach, integrity, commitment to advocacy and attention to detail.
Mrs. Brown's journey into nursing was shaped by personal determination and early influences, including her grandmother, Roberta Pokorski, who also served as a nurse. From a young age, Mrs. Brown felt called to enter the field but initially took a different path to raise her two children. She spent time working with State Farm Insurance before deciding to follow her passion for healthcare after the 2008 Agency Field Office closure due to a major corporate consolidation strategy. With unwavering love and encouragement from her husband, children, and support from family and friends, she pursued her true calling.
Completing her formal education at Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts, LLC, Mrs. Brown successfully developed the foundational knowledge and clinical skills that continue to underpin her current success. She credits her achievements to her academic training but is also grateful to have had exceptional mentors, instructors and colleagues throughout her career.
Alongside her primary roles, Mrs. Brown is an active member of the Nurses Services Organization and participates in civic-minded initiatives such as volunteering for the holiday bike giveaway presented by the Oscar De La Hoya Foundation, participation in Team in Training marathon runner honoring Leukemia and Lymphoma patients and families, as well as participation in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure walks. Her exemplary service has been recognized with several accolades, including two RAVE (Recognize a Valued Employee) Reviews from Clark County School District, a Butterfly Honorable Mention (agency) nomination from Health Services in Fall of 2024 and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2022 for her service to Veterans at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) during the COVID–19 Pandemic.
Outside of her work responsibilities, Mrs. Brown prioritizes self-care and enjoys a rich family life as the proud mother to her son and daughter. Dedicated to the ideals of continuous learning, she aspires to advance her education by earning a registered nurse degree — a further reflection of her legacy of resilience, compassion and steadfast dedication to improving lives within both clinical settings and the broader community.
