He also served on advisory boards for Apple Computer's dealer and product development boards, as an executive member of both the Asian Business Association and the Asian Business League and on the board of directors of the Hong Kong Business Association of Southern California.

Notable among them are the High Tech Good Scout of the Year by the Greater Los Angeles Area Council in 1993, the Administrator's Award for Excellence from the U.S. Small Business Administration in 1991, and the Outstanding Alumni of the Year from the Graduate School of Management at California State University, Long Beach in 1990. He also received the NASA Subcontractor of the Year award from Rockwell International and the Vendor of the Year recognition from Hewlett-Packard, both in 1989.
