As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mrs. Yorker has distinguished herself as the Founder and Executive Director of the Sia Yorker Brain Awareness Scholarship Foundation, Inc. Based in Deltona, Florida, the nonprofit organization was established in memory of her daughter, Sia Christine Yorker. Its mission is to educate communities, raise awareness about brain health, support grieving individuals and families with great compassion, and encourage proactive measures to prevent head injuries.

Since founding the organization in 2012, Mrs. Yorker has dedicated herself to educating communities, securing sponsorships, visiting schools and organizations, and providing brain-awareness resources. Her work includes distributing educational materials, increasing awareness of the signs and symptoms of brain hemorrhages and supporting individuals and families affected by Alzheimer's disease and dementia. She is also recognized for walking alongside those who have lost loved ones due to brain-related conditions.

Under Mrs. Yorker's leadership, the foundation has become a vital resource for education, scholarships, youth development, and family support. Since its inception, the Sia Yorker Brain Awareness Scholarship Foundation, Inc. has awarded 78 scholarships totaling more than $75,000 to graduating high school seniors pursuing college degrees in medical, science, and related STEM fields.

The foundation also develops programs that introduce children and young people to science, medicine, brain health, leadership, and service. Through its Community Cares Youth Volunteer Program, young people serve senior adults while developing compassion, leadership skills, and meaningful intergenerational relationships.

Before establishing the foundation, Mrs. Yorker worked as both a Memory Care Manager and Memory Care Director, overseeing programs and services for residents living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. In these leadership roles, she developed person-centered programs tailored to each resident's needs, abilities, and life experiences.

Mrs. Yorker continues to teach and train health care professionals, caregivers, families, and community members in Alzheimer's disease and dementia care. Her instruction includes compassionate, person-centered care, effective communication, meaningful activities, and strategies designed to reduce agitation, promote engagement, and enhance quality of life. Her dedication strengthens her work in brain-health education, memory care, advocacy, grief support, and community service.

Mrs. Yorker's professional journey also included serving at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, where she supported contracts and procurement activities within the office led by Dr. Anthony Fauci. She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, an Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer, a Certified Memory Care Manager, and a Certified Activities Director with a Memory Care Specialty.

She has also successfully completed her certifications in coaching and speaking through the John Maxwell Leadership Program and is scheduled to participate in graduation ceremonies in August 2026. Mrs. Yorker is committed to serving her community with compassion and excellence. She is a member of the National Council of Negro Women of West Volusia and Seminole Counties and volunteers with Volusia County Public Schools. Through her service, she reads to elementary school students and encourages children and young adults to always "Think Big!" and pursue their God-given dreams.

She also supports the City of Deltona's Adopt-A-Street program and participates in initiatives that promote safer and stronger neighborhoods. Through these community efforts, Mrs. Yorker inspires hope, promotes education, encourages civic responsibility, and empowers individuals of all ages to recognize their value and make a meaningful difference.

Her passion for service extends beyond her professional accomplishments. Mrs. Yorker serves as the Chapel Drive Area Neighborhood Watch Coordinator, where she helps foster communication, safety, and unity among residents.

She also oversees the Rising Above It All GriefShare Support Group at Trinity Church Deltona, where she walks alongside individuals navigating the loss of loved ones and offers biblical hope, encouragement, compassion, and support. As a mentor to young women, she encourages them to grow in faith, recognize their God-given worth, pursue their dreams, and confidently walk in their purpose.

Mrs. Yorker is also a supporter of Danita's Children orphanage in Haiti and contributes her time and resources to numerous charitable organizations. Her service reflects a commitment to encouraging and uplifting others.

In 2014, Mrs. Yorker authored What Do You Do in the Midst of a Suddenly?, published by Xulon Press. Through the book, she shares a message of faith and hope for families who have experienced the loss of a child. She encourages honest conversations about grief while reminding readers that purpose, hope, and a meaningful life can continue beyond tragedy.

Mrs. Yorker's contributions have been recognized through numerous awards and honors from schools and community organizations, including Deltona High School. She has also received recognition from United Parcel Service for her community service and support, as well as acknowledgment from the Wawa Foundation.

She attributes her success to her faith, compassion for others, and early experiences with her grandmother, whose challenges with mobility and dementia inspired Mrs. Yorker's lifelong dedication to senior adults, memory care, and compassionate service.

Mrs. Yorker is a sought-after conference speaker who inspires audiences through her testimony, faith and commitment to education and community service. Through her speaking and teaching, she encourages individuals to persevere through adversity, embrace their God-given purpose, and use their experiences to bring hope and transformation to others.

Looking ahead, Mrs. Yorker is expanding the foundation's STEM programming to introduce children to careers in medicine, science, technology, and health care through hands-on educational experiences. Her goal is to ignite curiosity, cultivate future leaders, and encourage young minds to dream big while pursuing careers that positively impact families and communities.

Driven by her desire to serve others, Mrs. Yorker also aspires to establish a residential home for girls in the United States or South Africa. Her vision is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where young women can recognize their God-given worth, embrace their inner beauty and intelligence, develop strong character and leadership skills, and confidently pursue their purpose and dreams.

Family is deeply important to Mrs. Yorker. She has been married to her best friend, Albert Yorker, for more than 38 years and is a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. To her spiritual sons and daughters, she is lovingly known as "Momma Paula," reflecting the compassion, wisdom, and nurturing love she pours into the lives of others.

Mrs. Yorker humbly attributes the woman she is today—and the woman she continues to become—to her Heavenly Father, who faithfully reminds her of His unfailing love, amazing grace, and the divine purpose He has ordained for her life.

She is forever grateful for her mother, now in heaven, whose unconditional love, wisdom, and encouragement gave her the freedom to confidently and respectfully express herself while embracing the unique person God created her to be.

Mrs. Yorker also lovingly honors her grandmother, Sally, whose life was a living testimony of Jesus Christ. Through her unwavering faith, strength, grace, and unconditional love, Sally demonstrated what it truly means to faithfully walk with God. Her spiritual legacy continues to inspire and guide Mrs. Yorker each day.

She is grateful for the spiritual parents God has graciously placed in her life: Archbishop Owen Farrell McGregor and Apostle Maggie McGregor of South Africa, and Rev. Prof. Mosy U. Madugba and Rev. Dr. Mrs. Chinyere Gloria Madugba of Nigeria.

Through their love, mentorship, wisdom, prayers, and Christ-centered examples, they have helped shape Mrs. Yorker's character, deepen her faith, and continually encourage her to grow into the woman God has called her to be.

Their investment in her life has created a lasting legacy that Mrs. Yorker now strives to pass on through serving, mentoring, encouraging, and inspiring others to discover their God-given purpose, maximize their potential, and make a meaningful impact for generations to come.
