Since founding Torch Lake Gallery - Bay Harbor Collection in 2023, Mr. Kippe has curated and displayed his original works at this location while also exhibiting pieces throughout Bay Harbor. His professional portfolio extends back to 2010, anchored by a notable nighttime underwater scuba photograph taken in Florida that captures a basket star feeding in the dark. Over the years, he has developed a reputation for discovering rare moments often invisible to others, using both deliberate missions and spontaneous exploration with long telephoto lenses to reveal new perspectives.

A pinnacle achievement in Mr. Kippe's career came in 2023, when he earned the Certified Professional Photographer designation from the Professional Photographers of America. This elite credential is held by fewer than 8% of photographers nationwide and required him to master an intensive eight-section examination on advanced technical knowledge, demonstrate consistent exposure across changing camera settings and complete a rigorous practical exam. For the final assessment, he demonstrated functional mastery by perfectly exposing a miniature wooden manikin under varied lighting conditions using a specialized light meter.

Mr. Kippe's work has garnered significant recognition through features in high-profile publications. He has been highlighted multiple times in Golden Coast Connoisseur magazine, including an eight-page spread detailing his coverage of the 2025 & 2026 MODA Miami exotic car show and a feature on his "Boyne Thunder" collection — photographs capturing the fine art of high-speed catamaran boats during an exclusive poker run. His artistry has also been showcased in RESIDE Magazine as a featured artist and in Great Lakes By Design magazine.

Mr. Kippe's educational background is marked by diverse academic pursuits that have contributed to his artistic achievements. He completed summer coursework in genes and genomics at the University of Michigan at the end of middle school, followed by science studies at the University of Pennsylvania. He later enrolled at Washington University in St. Louis for logic coursework, earning an A+ grade.

Throughout his life, Mr. Kippe has pursued additional coursework at several colleges to continually refine his intellect and technical abilities. This evolution in Mr. Kippe's artistic vision ultimately led him to build comprehensive in-house production capabilities. He acquired a professional framing machine, enabling him to independently manage every phase from conceptualization or spontaneous capture through editing, printing on paper or aluminum panels, framing and selling at his gallery.

Mr. Kippe's introduction to Bay Harbor's art community began through his donation of fine artwork to Crooked Tree Arts Center-Petoskey's annual Dart for Art, the center's signature charity fundraiser held directly in front of his gallery. Expanding his philanthropic impact, Mr. Kippe collaborated with a neighboring fine-dining restaurant on a special live auction feature that raised $17,000. Each year, he continues to donate artwork for this event.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Kippe enjoys all-terrain vehicle riding, snowmobiling, downhill skiing and outdoor nature activities. One of his aspirations is to acquire a helicopter that would allow him access to remote areas across America for capturing unprecedented photographs.
