Before establishing his retail businesses, Mr. Sood owned and operated an Exxon service station in Alexandria, Virginia, for approximately 10 years. During that time, he simultaneously held a position with HDR Inc., where he contributed to the organization's operations and development while successfully balancing the responsibilities of business ownership.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Sood spent a decade with Bechtel at its Shady Grove nuclear power division, where he developed the technical knowledge, discipline, and operational expertise that would later become the foundation of his entrepreneurial success.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Sood is especially proud of continuing a family tradition of entrepreneurship spanning multiple generations. Even before immigrating to the United States, he was involved in business, following in the footsteps of his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. As the first member of his family to establish himself in the United States, he helped his wife immigrate and later assisted two younger brothers and a brother-in-law in building new lives and careers in America. His brother-in-law has since become a successful businessman in California. Mr. Sood considers these family achievements among the most meaningful accomplishments of his life and remains deeply grateful for the opportunities the United States has provided his family.

Mr. Sood earned an associate degree and a mechanical drafting diploma from Washington Drafting School. He credits his technical education with providing the analytical and operational skills that have supported his success across engineering, service station management, and retail entrepreneurship. Above all, he attributes much of his professional success to the steadfast encouragement and support of his wife, whom he considers his greatest source of strength throughout his career.
