WEST DEPTFORD, NJ, July 16, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Francis E. Di Bacco has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Di Bacco has built a notable 70-year career in banking and consulting, characterized by innovation, resilience and a strong dedication to client advocacy. Since 2000, he has served as the chairman and chief executive officer of F.E. DiBacco Inc., focusing on reviewing bank charges, identifying excessive fees, safeguarding clients from overcharges and advising major corporations on banking practices. Mr. Di Bacco developed a unique bank fee analysis methodology, which earned a patent in 2006. His expertise in reviewing bank fees while collaborating with companies has saved clients millions of dollars. He is also recognized for charging a percentage of actual savings over two years, with plans to extend this period after securing his patent.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Di Bacco worked as an independent consultant for banks from 1977 to 1991. During this period, he gained extensive experience in tackling the issues faced by banks and savings and loan institutions in the late 1980s. His detailed evaluations of these organizations gave him direct insight into the savings-and-loan crisis. In 1991, he was recognized for his expertise when invited to speak before the U.S. House Banking Committee in Washington, DC, highlighting his standing as an industry authority. Although he later shifted his focus away from banks and savings and loans, his industry knowledge was well-supported by numerous reference letters.
Mr. Di Bacco commenced his career at First Pennsylvania Bank in Philadelphia in 1956. Without a formal college education, he navigated the challenges of banking in an era before computers, relying on manual methods and signature verification to identify accounts. During his 21 years there, he noticed irregular and overly aggressive practices in the industry, prompting him to shift to consulting. His goal to safeguard clients from unfair banking practices laid the groundwork for his subsequent career.
Beyond his career successes, Mr. Di Bacco actively engages in civic activities that promote historical preservation. He frequently serves as the grand marshal driver for the New York City Veterans Day Parade and participates in the Flag Day Parade, honoring veterans and fallen soldiers. This cause is especially meaningful to him because of his brother's sacrifice during the Battle of Midway in 1942. Additionally, Mr. Di Bacco donates to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and Veterans of Foreign Wars, demonstrating his commitment to charitable work that aligns with his Catholic faith.
Likewise, Mr. Di Bacco received an accolade from Paulsboro, NJ, for his invaluable efforts with the Vintage Magazine Nostalgia Center, which he founded as a tribute to American history and innovation. His goal with the center is to educate young people about past sacrifices and technological progress through tours and educational programs held in its extensive 10,000-square-foot facility. Within the center, Mr. Di Bacco boasts a collection of over 137,000 magazines dating to the 1890s, equaling 26 tons. Each shelf in the center is over 28 feet long, totaling more than one mile of shelving for magazines alone. Highly organized, the shelves have 12 levels – one for each month of the year.
Mr. Di Bacco attributes much of his success to his innate creativity and innovative mindset. He believes that difficult circumstances throughout his career have shaped his journey and that his efforts to assist others have often opened new doors for him. Although he once aimed to become a musician, he ultimately realized that his creative skills were better suited for banking consulting and fee analysis.
Mr. Di Bacco was born in Southwest Philadelphia into an immigrant Italian family whose perseverance inspired him throughout his life. Despite having a third-grade education when they arrived in the United States, his parents worked tirelessly to provide their children with everything needed for success. Today, Mr. Di Bacco is a father to three daughters.
All of Mr. Di Bacco's businesses ventures have been about creativity. From banking to music, and before consulting, he had a joke service for Disc Jockey's nationwide. For five years he wrote 75 jokes every two weeks for them, which amounted to over 10,000 jokes. His crowning success was in November 1972, when Rodney Dangerfield bought a joke from him and advised Mr. Di Bacco that he would be telling the joke on the Johnny Carson Show. After he told the joke, Carson told Rodney that was one of the best jokes he'd heard in a long time.
Looking ahead, Mr. Di Bacco plans to broaden the Vintage Magazine Nostalgia Center's influence by offering more educational opportunities for youth while continuing his consulting activities. He remains committed to engaging in veterans' parades and community events, advancing both tradition and innovation in his personal and professional life.
