She earned a Doctor of Philosophy in nursing administration from Capella University in 2007, following a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. Her foundational training began with an associate degree in nursing from Charity School of Nursing at Delgado Community College in New Orleans.
