Before his current role, Mr. Jackson served as the chief of staff for Cook County Commissioner Deborah Sims. Additionally, Mr. Jackson was fortunate to serve as the chief of staff for State Representative Robert Rita of the 28th District, where he oversaw legislative operations and community outreach efforts.
Mr. Jackson's career began with military service as a cadet lieutenant in the Illinois National Guard Reserve. He continued his service with the U.S. Army Reserve and was affiliated with the 12th Special Forces Group in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Mr. Jackson's academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management with a minor in political science. He furthered his education by earning a graduate certificate in nonprofit administration from Georgetown University. Moreover, he completed officer candidate school at Fort Lewis, Washington. Active civically, Mr. Jackson's memberships in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. and the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons reflect his dedication to professional development and civic engagement. He is also an active volunteer with churches throughout Cook County, Illinois, helping to feed individuals experiencing hunger and homelessness.
Throughout his career, Mr. Jackson has received numerous accolades recognizing his impact on community safety and well-being. In addition to the Nonprofit of the Year Award in 2026, he was honored earlier for violence reduction efforts in Chicago's Beats 522, 523 and 524 in 2013.
