Between 2017 and 2021, Dr. Suber was instrumental in the establishment and operation of Franklin Labs in Reading, Pennsylvania—a company within the emerging medical marijuana industry. Initially hired as a consultant to design security protocols for the company's proposal to grow or dispense medical marijuana, Dr. Suber's responsibilities expanded as the company grew. He managed operations during the construction phase and addressed critical issues that arose during development. When the chief executive officer prepared to depart about a year and a half into the project, Dr. Suber was appointed interim chief executive officer. He led Franklin Labs through its transition until its acquisition by Harvest Health & Recreation Inc., after which he remained with Harvest overseeing compliance and operational continuity.

Dr. Suber's academic contributions include serving as an adjunct professor of criminal justice at Rosemont College from 2014 to 2018 and directing the Act 235 Lethal Weapons Program at Montgomery County Police & Fire Academy from 2013 to 2018. He also worked as an independent contractor with Vance Investigations & Corporate Solutions in Norristown for two years, conducting seminars and investigative work.

A significant portion of Dr. Suber's career was dedicated to public safety with the Pennsylvania State Police from 1978 to 2003. Rising through the ranks to lieutenant before retiring, he distinguished himself as one of the first hostage negotiators in the department's history—a role he held for 10 years after extensive training alongside Police hostage negotiators, Maryland State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Throughout his career, Dr. Suber has been recognized for his teaching excellence with letters from the Department of the Navy and the Third Command of the Marine Corps regarding his instruction within military settings. He is also affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Fraternal Order of Police, Penn State Alumni Association, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and the Order of Anthony Wayne at Valley Forge Military Academy & College. He has also taught at polices academies and several institutions of higher education, such as Pennsylvania State University, Rosemont College, Alvernia University and Montgomery County Community College.

Academically, Dr. Suber's background is equally distinguished, earning a doctorate in metaphysics and spirituality from the University of Sedona in Arizona in 2019—an achievement that deepened his understanding of diverse belief systems like Confucianism and informed his holistic coaching methodology. He also completed a master's degree in criminal justice at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia in 1990 while actively serving as an academy instructor for the state police. His undergraduate studies culminated with a Bachelor of Arts from The Pennsylvania State University in 1978.

Dr. Suber also holds several certifications that have supported his multifaceted career. He completed coursework at Northwestern University's School of Police Staff & Command in 2002, became an Act 235 certified instructor under Pennsylvania's Lethal Weapons Training Act in 1988 and is an ordained metaphysical minister.

Dr. Suber's entry into law enforcement was shaped by encouragement from recruiters seeking greater diversity within the Pennsylvania State Police during his undergraduate years at Penn State University.
