His earlier tenure as executive chef at Lakeland Marketing in San Antonio from 2016 to 2017 allowed him to apply his culinary expertise while managing kitchen operations and mentoring staff. This experience further solidified his reputation for excellence in food service management.

Between 2010 and 2016, Mr. Montgomery was executive chef/owner of CGM Catering, where he developed menus and oversaw culinary operations for diverse events and clients. Concurrently, from 2010 to 2012, he served as territory sales manager at Performance Roma in San Antonio, where he managed client relationships and expanded the company's regional presence.

From 2004 to 2010, Mr. Montgomery worked as corporate chef and territory manager at Advance Sales and Marketing. His responsibilities included product development, sales strategy implementation and customer engagement across multiple markets.

Earlier in his career, from 2000 to 2004, he was corporate executive chef at Aramark for Valero Energy Corporation. There, he managed large-scale food service operations and led teams that delivered high-quality dining experiences.

Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Montgomery has earned recognition for his leadership and dedication. He is an active member of several industry organizations, including the Texas Association for School Nutrition, the School Nutrition Association, American Culinary Association and the Texas Chefs Association.

Mr. Montgomery's educational background includes an Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts from St. Philip's College in San Antonio, completed in 1995. He further enhanced his expertise with certifications in cranberry science and development, as well as mixology, from Johnson & Wales University in 2008. These academic achievements have provided a strong foundation for his culinary innovation and business acumen.

The support of his wife and family has been central to Mr. Montgomery's success. Their encouragement was especially vital when he transitioned from a demanding chef's schedule to the food brokerage industry—a move motivated by his desire for improved work-life balance and more time with loved ones. His longstanding relationships within the industry facilitated this career shift when an opportunity arose to take over a brokerage business from its retiring owner.

Beyond his professional commitments, Mr. Montgomery had been civically engaged on the board as a chef/Finance Chairman with "Taste of Hope" for several years. He served on the boards of both the "New World Wine and Food Festival" and "Tour de Cure," benefiting diabetes research. He served as Chairman of the Board for Texas Chefs Association "Chefs Triathlon" from 1999 to 2001 supporting local charities. His contributions have been recognized with honors, including being named Texas Chefs Association "San Antonio Chef of the Year in 1999".

Born in Okmulgee Oklahoma, he has resided in San Antonio Texas since 1970. Mr. Montgomery enjoys fishing, kayaking, hunting, playing golf with clients and bike riding during his leisure time. He takes great pride in his growing family, which now includes eight grandchildren and soon a great-grandchild.

Looking ahead, Mr. Montgomery aims to continue expanding his business and pursuing ventures that align with his personal interests. He is currently working on a cookbook that will further showcase his culinary expertise while exploring opportunities that blend professional fulfillment with recreational pursuits.
