Mr. Jacobs was working as a subcontractor to SAK Construction when he met his now supervisor Brent Adams, with whom he developed a professional connection with that led to him joining SAK Construction. Mr. Jacobs gained valuable knowledge in his previous position as Director of Public Works for the City of Peculiar where he oversaw a 1 million gallon per day water distribution system as well as a 750,000 gallon per day wastewater treatment plant. In this leadership role, he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of public works operations, including infrastructure maintenance and improvement projects. His tenure as director represented the culmination of a remarkable progression within the city's administration—a journey that began when he joined the public works field crew in 2005 at age 19.

Between 2016 and 2020, Mr. Jacobs served as Project and Compliance Management Coordinator for the City of Peculiar where he oversaw a $10 million water transmission main project to shift Peculiar to a new water source. The preceding year, he was promoted to Utilities Manager for the City of Peculiar after serving as Public Works Manager in 2015. These roles involved managing the water distribution system and sanitary sewer plant as well as multiple road resurfacing projects—areas in which he developed specialized expertise through both experience and formal certification. In 2018, Mr. Jacobs played a key role in the planning and execution of the City of Peculiar's Sesquicentennial event marking the City's 150-year celebration, which included the exhuming of the time capsule originally buried in 1968 and the placement of the new time capsule to be opened in 2068.

From 2013 to 2015, Mr. Jacobs contributed as a city clerk for the City of Peculiar, where he managed administrative functions and supported city governance. During his tenure as City Clerk, Mr. Jacobs was pivotal in helping Peculiar pass a $0.01 per gallon Motor Fuel Fee to help with the City's aging road infrastructure, making Peculiar the second City to successfully pass this critical resource in the state of Missouri. His earlier appointment as utility clerk from 2010 to 2013 marked a pivotal moment in his career: despite having no prior computer training, he embraced the opportunity to expand his skill set under the guidance of a supportive City Administrator, Brad Ratliff.

Mr. Jacobs began his professional journey with the City of Peculiar's public works field crew from 2005 to 2010. Starting with entry-level responsibilities like mowing grass and filling potholes, he steadily advanced through increasingly complex roles by demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability.

Throughout his career, Mr. Jacobs has maintained active involvement in industry organizations, such as the Mid-America Regional Council and Missouri Rural Water Association. His educational background includes earning a Bachelor of Business Administration from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas, in 2022, and several professional certifications, such as a Wastewater Treatment C license and a DS III Water Distribution license from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

Reflecting on his career, Mr. Jacobs attributes much of his success to his interpersonal skills and ability to connect with others—a quality reinforced by advice from his grandfather emphasizing the importance of relationships over knowledge alone. His wife's observation that he can "make friends with a rock" underscores his natural affinity for networking and collaboration, traits that have facilitated both personal growth and professional achievement.

Mr. Jacobs' civic engagement extends beyond his professional responsibilities. He is an active member of Midwest Krawlers, an off-roading organization that aligns with his personal interests and whose motto is "No One Left Behind" which he believes in firmly in both his personal and professional life, as well as Bikers Against Child Abuse, reflecting his commitment to supporting vulnerable members of the community.

Born in Kansas City, Mr. Jacobs met his wife Angela during their junior year of high school while participating in a vocational information technology program. They married in 2006 and have two children—a son Jaxon and a daughter Skyla—with whom he enjoys off-roading adventures at local parks. He also enjoys collecting newspapers of historical significance and attending community festivals and events, further strengthening his ties within local communities including Peculiar, where he continues to provide guidance on water and sewer system challenges faced by municipal officials.
