Additionally, she helped introduce a software review workflow to better track and evaluate software expenditures, helping the organization manage tail spend more effectively. As the organization evolved, Ms. Kroiss was invited back into a broader procurement operations role to apply her systems expertise across a wider array of departmental tools.

In 2025, Ms. Kroiss expanded her professional portfolio by co-founding Artemis and Athena Properties LLC in Elgin. As a managing owner, she owns and rents five commercial and mixed-use real estate properties in the Elgin area. Her comprehensive responsibilities include overseeing daily administrative operations, coordinating with external professionals for site repairs and inspections, marketing available commercial units, and providing dedicated support to current tenants.

Her entrepreneurial acumen builds on a diverse professional foundation. Prior to her tenure at CDK Global LLC, she worked in sales and marketing at Titan Tiny Homes in South Elgin in 2016. From 2012 to 2016, Ms. Kroiss held several positions at American Chartered Bank in Schaumburg, beginning as a teller before advancing into broader banking responsibilities and ultimately serving as a compliance officer. She credits her early professional customer service roles in the retail and restaurant industries with laying the foundation for her advancement into banking, compliance, and operations management.

Ms. Kroiss' academic background includes foundational coursework toward a Bachelor of Arts in business administration. She has further expanded her technical expertise through professional credentials, earning certification as a Certified CLM consultant from Sirion in 2026. She also holds a regulatory compliance certificate in deposit and other laws from LexisNexis Sheshunoff and previously maintained an AWS-certified cloud practitioner credential from Amazon Web Services Inc.

Civic engagement is central to Ms. Kroiss' identity. She serves as treasurer for the Elgin Green Expo and co-founded Strong Towns Elgin, a local chapter focused on pedestrian safety and urban planning advocacy. Under her co-leadership, Strong Towns Elgin has successfully increased communication between residents, city council members, and municipal staff, resulting in painted bike lanes, new stop signs, and enhanced housing plans.

Her extensive community affiliations include the Elgin Junior Woman's Club; as a member since 2015, she has held a succession of leadership roles since 2018, including secretary, public relations and social media chair, and vice president from 2020 to 2024. She also volunteered with the Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley ReStore and served as a board member of Positive Impact Fox Valley. She also volunteers her time at several other organizations like PADS and the Elgin Symphony Orchestra. When she lived in the Southeast Elgin Neighborhood, she helped lead their community cleanup initiatives. Known for her impact, Ms. Kroiss has received recognition for helping to organize the Positive Impact Fox Valley Motivational Positivity Chain Project at Festival Park during National Night Out and was honored for her work with the Southeast Elgin Neighborhood Association in 2014 for environmental cleanup and park development efforts.
