As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Villeda has established a distinguished reputation as a construction executive and entrepreneur in the residential construction industry as the founder and chief executive officer of JLV Construction in New Orleans, Louisiana, a role he has held since 2010. Over the past 16 years, he has transformed the company from a small startup into one of the region's premier luxury residential construction firms, completing more than 500 residential construction and historic renovation projects throughout New Orleans and its metropolitan area while developing a team of 42 professionals.

Specializing in luxury custom homes and award-winning historic renovations, Mr. Villeda has built a reputation for combining exceptional craftsmanship with disciplined operational excellence. Under his leadership, JLV Construction has become one of the region's most respected residential construction firms, recognized not only for the quality of its projects but also for its commitment to preserving the architectural heritage that defines New Orleans.

Under Mr. Villeda's leadership, JLV Construction has been recognized by Biz New Orleans as one of the Best Places to Work in New Orleans for three consecutive years—an accomplishment he considers among the proudest of his career. He believes that a company's greatest competitive advantage is its people and has made leadership development, mentorship, and continuous learning central to the organization's culture. Through structured career pathways, coaching, and intentional leadership development, he has created an environment where employees are empowered to grow professionally and build meaningful, long-term careers.

Throughout his career, Mr. Villeda has developed particular expertise in the restoration of historically significant properties throughout New Orleans. His dedication to preserving the city's architectural legacy while delivering exceptional craftsmanship has earned him widespread recognition within the industry. In 2025, he received awards from the Louisiana Landmarks Society for restoring two historic properties in consecutive years, underscoring his commitment to historic preservation and uncompromising quality.

His company's excellence has also been recognized with numerous prestigious honors, including the Best Home Builder Award from New Orleans Homes & Lifestyles magazine in 2024 and the publication's Best of Home Award in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Additional accolades include the Readers' Favorites Award from Inside New Orleans Magazine in 2023, the People's Choice Award from AIA New Orleans in 2022, the Remodeling and Design Award from the Louisiana Home Builders Association in 2015, and recognition among the 300 Most Influential People in New Orleans in 2025.

Professionally engaged within the construction and business communities, Mr. Villeda is a member of Associated Builders and Contractors, the Louisiana System for Integrated Growth, an affiliate member and sustaining sponsor of AIA New Orleans, and a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans (HBAGNO) since 2022.

He also serves on the HBAGNO Latino Council, where he contributes to initiatives focused on professional development, leadership growth, and expanding opportunities for Hispanic contractors and construction professionals throughout the region. In addition, he has served on the Sherwin-Williams Hispanic Advisory Board, providing industry perspective and supporting efforts to strengthen relationships and opportunities within the Hispanic contractor community.

Mr. Villeda is an alumnus of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program and maintains active involvement with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana and the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Villeda pursued studies in electromechanical engineering at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and has continued his professional development through executive education, professional certifications, extensive reading, and guidance from experienced business leaders and mentors. He believes successful leaders are lifelong learners and credits the influence of mentors, coaches, and industry leaders with helping him expand his vision, strengthen his leadership capabilities, and continue building organizations that create opportunities for others.

Additionally, Mr. Villeda is a Certified Remodeler through the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) and leads an EOS®-run organization, utilizing the Entrepreneurial Operating System® to strengthen accountability, leadership development, strategic execution, and operational excellence throughout JLV Construction. He also holds Residential and Commercial Building Contractor licenses issued by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors.

Mr. Villeda immigrated to the United States seeking greater opportunities and first settled in Texas, where he worked in the restaurant industry before relocating to New Orleans. There, he entered the construction industry with no formal experience but an unwavering determination to learn, master the trade, and build a company founded on excellence.

As he gained experience, he saw too many homeowners—particularly hardworking, low- and middle-income families—taken advantage of by contractors who prioritized quick profits over quality and integrity. Some delivered poor workmanship, while others accepted payments and failed to complete the work altogether. Those experiences inspired him to build a different kind of construction company—one grounded in honesty, craftsmanship, transparency, and accountability.

He committed himself to becoming a licensed, highly skilled professional capable of delivering the highest standards of workmanship and service. What began as a desire to protect homeowners through integrity and professionalism evolved into one of the Gulf South's most respected luxury residential construction companies, known for award-winning historic renovations, operational excellence, and a culture dedicated to developing future industry leaders.

Reflecting on his career, Mr. Villeda attributes his achievements to perseverance, discipline, continuous learning, and the guidance of mentors who challenged him to expand his vision and become a better leader. He believes that growth is a lifelong process and is passionate about sharing what he has learned by mentoring others—particularly Latino entrepreneurs and emerging leaders—demonstrating that extraordinary success is attainable through hard work, principled leadership, intentional systemization, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Villeda is committed to civic engagement as a sponsor of several organizations, including the Children's Circus Project, the Louisiana Sheriffs' Association, the Louisiana Wildlife Agents Association Inc., the Professional Fire Fighters Association of Louisiana, and the Disabled American Veterans National Service Foundation.

In his personal life, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, maintains close relationships with his extended family, and prioritizes a disciplined daily fitness routine.

Looking ahead, Mr. Villeda is focused on executing a disciplined growth strategy through Dos Mundos Capital Group LLC, expanding JLV Construction's presence throughout Greater New Orleans while strategically entering additional markets across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast. His vision extends beyond building successful companies; he is committed to developing future industry leaders, preserving Louisiana's architectural heritage, creating meaningful career opportunities, and elevating the construction industry's standards.

Through continued investment in people, operational excellence, and craftsmanship, Mr. Villeda continues to build organizations designed not only to succeed today but to create lasting impact for future generations.

For Mr. Villeda, success is measured not only by the quality of the homes his companies build, but by the leaders they develop, the families they serve, and the opportunities they create for future generations.
