Before reaching her current role at Thermo Fisher, Ms. Macur was a clinical trials remote site monitor II from 2019 to 2022. Her responsibilities included overseeing trial management, reviewing study data, and ensuring adherence to protocols. In 2019, she also served as a clinical research coordinator and neurology rater at the Parkinson's Disease Treatment Center of Southwest Florida. Her vocational journey counts many significant scientific contributions; she was involved in the vaccine trials during the COVID-19 pandemic and was part of the award-winning GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) study team recognized for its advancements in fighting kidney disease.

Ms. Macur's storied career began with roles that laid a strong foundation for her future achievements. From 1986 to 1988, she worked as a neuropsychometrist at Dartmouth College before becoming a clinical trials coordinator at Dartmouth-Hitchcock from 1988 to 1990. Her early experiences also include positions as a research assistant at the National Center for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from 1990 to 1992 and an intern research assistant at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety/Highway Loss Data Institute from 1993 to 1994. Despite working in a particularly fast-paced and challenging field, she takes great fulfillment in knowing her work is making a lasting difference for future generations.

Academically, Ms. Macur completed extensive coursework while in a doctoral program in clinical neuropsychology at the Graduate School and University Center of the City University of New York at Mount Sinai and earned a Bachelor of Arts in biopsychology from The George Washington University, graduating summa cum laude and receiving the Psi Chi Prize in Experimental Psychology. She is certified as a Medidata RAVE clinical research coordinator and in human subjects protection by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. Her commitment to continuous education is further reflected in her certifications in medical and health management and as a clinical assistant and specialist from Rutgers University, where she later served as a co-adjunct instructor in statistics. She is also a published author in neurology, contributing the 1990 paper "Neurologic Signs in Age-Associated Memory Impairment."

Ms. Macur's contributions extend beyond her professional endeavors into civic engagement with organizations such as the Special Olympics, Middle Earth, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, where she currently serves as a mentor. She has become a powerful advocate for diversity and for inspiring girls in tennis, serving as the Middle States board president and as a board member for the Racquet Sports Professionals Association (RSPA). A certified teaching professional since 2008, she has used her platform to elevate women's voices, expand opportunities for young female athletes, and create environments where girls can see themselves as leaders, competitors, and champions. Her commitment to building a more inclusive and empowering future for girls in the sport was recognized with the USPTA Bob Ryland Diversity Award in 2021. She is also a UPSTA Leadership Academy Scholarship Recipient.

Ms. Macur also serves as president of the Gulf Breeze Condominium Owners' Association, where she has strengthened compliance with governing documents and Florida condominium statutes, improved operational transparency, and reinforced consistent, professional oversight of association affairs. Her leadership has contributed to measurable community improvements and elevated community standards, resulting in a more stable and well-managed residential environment.

Ms. Macur is also the recipient of the Norman B. Bramall Service Award, recognizing her exceptional leadership and long-standing service to the United States Professional Tennis Association. A USPTA Certified Professional for more than sixteen years, she has served on the USPTA Middle States Board since 2016, beginning with a four-year term as New Jersey District President, during which she received the President's Award in 2017. She later chaired the Division's Women's Group, creating the first three-part professional development series featuring Emma Doyle and securing notable presenters such as Leslie Allen and Janet Taylor, MD, whose contributions strengthened the Division's women's programming and expanded national exposure. She launched Lunch-and-Learn programs at New Jersey colleges to introduce female athletes to tennis career pathways and established the Women's Mentorship Program in Middle States. She served as the USPTA Middle States Diversity and Inclusion Chair and was honored nationally with the USPTA National Diversity Award in 2021. Prior to her current role as President of USPTA Middle States, she served as Second Vice President and Treasurer. At the national level, she has contributed to the USPTA Membership Committee, the National Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and has chaired the USPTA Women's Task Force since 2022.

During her volunteer service on the USTA New Jersey District Board, Ms. Macur produced, created, organized, and executed the largest single-day tournament, Tenn!sFest NJD, featuring more than 140 matches in one day.

A distinguished athlete, Ms. Macur holds a national champion title in USTA tennis as well as multiple singles titles at her playing level. She has served the sport in numerous officiating capacities, including USTA Professional Line Umpire, Roving Umpire, Chair Umpire, Referee, and ATP/WTA line umpire. From 2011 to 2018, she was a member of the USTA Middle States New Jersey District Council, serving as Treasurer, Vice President of Adult Activities, Vice President of Community Development, and Council Member. She coached and captained a National Championship tennis team in 2009 and has coached men's, women's, and mixed doubles teams since 2005. She achieved the number-one ranking in the New Jersey District in 2010 and the number-one ranking in the Middle States Section in 2011.

In the fitness arena, Ms. Macur has demonstrated exceptional discipline and scientific precision. She served as her own strength, conditioning, and nutrition coach, creating her own macro-based dietary calculations to achieve optimal fat-protein-carbohydrate ratios. This approach enabled her to reach competition-level body fat percentages without compromising muscle mass or nutritional integrity. She has competed in WNBF/INBF national bodybuilding events in Fit Body, Figure, and Bikini divisions, earning multiple top placements, including first place Novice Figure, second place Masters Figure, second place Fit Body, third place Masters Bikini, third place Open Figure, and recognition as an Open Bikini finalist.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Macur enjoys being a professional tennis umpire, playing tennis, and exercising to maintain her physical and mental well-being.
