TROY, NY, August 03, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Volker Husel has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Husel's career is distinguished by a breadth of technical expertise and a capacity to maintain a comprehensive perspective, qualities that have consistently set him apart in the field of architecture and design. Since 2020, he has served as chief process and innovation officer, overseeing portfolio profit and loss and regional operations at BCA Architects & Engineers. In this role, he has been instrumental in implementing significant changes in project execution. During a January presentation to his partners, he detailed the progress achieved under his leadership and underscored the firm's readiness to embrace artificial intelligence's transformative impact on architecture, ensuring continued advancement in an evolving landscape.

Prior to joining BCA Architects & Engineers, Mr. Husel held several key positions at CSArch from 2016 to 2020, including building information modeling manager, project architect and principal. His tenure was marked by a commitment to integrating advanced digital processes and fostering innovation within project teams. Before this, he contributed as a project manager at Synthesis LLP from 2003 to 2016.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Husel worked as a design architect at Bearsch Compeau Knudson from 2000 to 2003, where he developed creative solutions for various architectural challenges. He also contributed as an architect intern at Hochbauamt Stuttgart from 1995 to 2000, where he gained practical exposure to public sector projects and regulatory frameworks.

Mr. Husel's professional journey began with hands-on roles that shaped his technical acumen and appreciation for craftsmanship. He worked as a furniture restorer at Möbelrestaurator Demmel from 1992 to 1993 and as a technical drafter at Lehman & Peters from 1991 to 1992. His early experience also includes serving as a carpenter with various companies from 1985 to 1990, following an apprenticeship in carpentry and cabinet making at Schreinerei Hubel Alerheim from 1982 to 1985.

A member of the American Institute of Architects, Mr. Husel is recognized for his ability to bridge technical depth with strategic oversight. He holds a Master of Architecture and Urban Design from the University of Stuttgart, completed in 2000. His academic foundation also includes a Fachhochschulreife from Staatliche Berufsoberschule Scheyern in 1990, a Fachschulreife from Staatliche Berufsaufbau Schule in 1987 and a Gesellenbrief in carpentry from Staatliche Berufsschule Donauwörth in 1985, all earned in Germany. Furthering his expertise in organizational leadership, he earned a Harvard Online Business Certificate in Leading Change and Organizational Renewal through Harvard Business School Online.

Mr. Husel's educational journey was shaped by early inspiration during his carpentry apprenticeship when an architect's visit sparked his ambition to pursue architecture, a path that required overcoming significant barriers within Germany's rigid educational system. While studying, he gained valuable experience working for a firm specializing in digital drafting for Airbus before returning briefly to furniture restoration during an industry recession.

Overall, Mr. Husel attributes his success to unwavering passion and perseverance despite skepticism from those around him, including family members who doubted his chosen path. This resilience has fueled his achievements and continues to drive his commitment to innovation within the profession.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. Husel is actively engaged in civic initiatives. He supports students with their school projects and leverages his office's volunteer work for community benefit. His organization also participates annually in a construction competition supporting food banks.

In his personal life, Mr. Husel enjoys music and plays several instruments, including accordion, keyboard and piano. He finds fulfillment in drafting, sketching and reading books as well as traveling frequently between Germany and the United States due to family ties on both continents.

Mr. Husel's contributions have been recognized with the Learning by Design Award for work with a K-12 school district, an honor that underscores both creative excellence and impact on educational environments. He encourages others to disregard naysayers and maintain confidence in their ideas, instincts and passions. While these may evolve over time, he underscores the importance of remaining authentic and pursuing one's passions with focus and determination.

Looking ahead, Mr. Husel remains committed to collaborating within the architectural community to ensure that technological advancements, such as artificial intelligence enhance rather than diminish the creative essence of architecture. He envisions leveraging these tools to streamline processes so architects can focus more deeply on creativity and purpose while preserving the emotional resonance that defines meaningful design.
