ORLANDO, FL, August 10, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Debby Newslow has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Newslow has established a distinguished career in the field of food safety and quality management, marked by nearly three decades as president and owner of D. L. Newslow & Associates, Inc., which she founded in 1997. Under her leadership, the company has become a respected authority in quality food safety, quality management standards and certification processes for organizations seeking to achieve and maintain food safety and quality certifications. Ms. Newslow's expertise is widely recognized, and she is known for her hands-on approach—personally running the company, managing client relationships, conducting on-site audits and training programs, and traveling extensively to industry events and conferences. She oversees a team of six or seven subcontractors and is frequently engaged as a speaker at major food safety, quality system and industry shows.

Her professional journey began at Dean Foods (T.G. Lee Dairy) in 1970, where she served as quality control manager until 1985. In this role, Ms. Newslow developed foundational skills in quality assurance that would shape her future contributions to the industry. She then joined The Coca-Cola Company as a corporate internal auditor from 1985 to 1995, where she was responsible for ensuring compliance with rigorous internal standards across multiple facilities.

In 1995, Ms. Newslow transitioned to Lloyd's Register Foundation Quality Assurance (LRQA), serving as an ISO 9001 auditor until 2016. During this period, she also worked as a subcontractor for LRQA after founding her own business, providing auditing services for a total of 20 years. Her tenure at LRQA coincided with significant changes in the industry, including the emergence of food safety management systems around 2000—a development that Ms. Newslow embraced by expanding her expertise into this evolving area.

Ms. Newslow's consulting experience includes serving as a food safety consultant for Tropicana from 1996 to 1997 and as an auditor for NSF International from 1998 to 2005. She also contributed her knowledge as a quality management consultant with M&M Consulting from 2005 to 2007.

Throughout her career, Ms. Newslow has been deeply involved in professional organizations that reflect her commitment to advancing food safety standards. She has been a longstanding member of the American Society of Quality, the American Spice Trade Association, the Citrus Engineers Conference, and the International Association of Food Protection since 1997. Additionally, she serves on the executive board of the Cultured Dairy Products Association and has held editorial responsibilities with Food Protection magazine since 1997. Her leadership extends to the executive board of the Quality Assurance Division of the Institute of Food Technologists (national branch) since 1997 and the executive board of Florida IFT since 1985.

Ms. Newslow's academic background includes earning a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology from the University of Florida in Gainesville in 1973. This educational foundation provided her with critical scientific knowledge that has underpinned her success in developing robust food safety programs and training initiatives.

She holds numerous professional certifications that underscore her expertise: lead instructor for Foreign Supplier Verification Program through FSMA; lead instructor for Preventive Controls for Animal Food and Human Food through the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance; certified quality system manager through ASQ World Headquarters; food safety manager certification through both the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals and National Restaurant Association; certified HACCP auditor through International HACCP Alliance; certified quality auditor through ASQ World Headquarters; and certified QA & food safety lead assessor through IRCA Group. On May 8, 2026, Debby earned her FSPCA Lead Instructor Certificate, qualifying her to teach the FSPCA's Food Traceability Regulation (FTR) (FSMA 204) training.

Ms. Newslow attributes her achievements to a combination of strong personal motivation, a work ethic inherited from her parents—her father was an optometrist dedicated to his profession until late in life while her mother was a concert pianist who performed at Faneuil Hall in Boston at age thirteen—and support from mentors and colleagues throughout her career.

Her contributions extend beyond business operations into civic engagement and volunteerism. She has served as a volunteer fundraiser for both the Florida Association for Food Protection since 1997 and the International Association of Food Protection. Her compassion is evident in her dedication to rescuing animals and caring for elderly relatives.

Ms. Newslow's impact on the industry is further demonstrated by her prolific authorship and thought leadership. She authored "The ISO 9000 Quality System – Applications in Food and Technology," published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc., in 2001, followed by "Food Safety Management Programs: Applications, Best Practices, and Compliance," published by CRC Press/Taylor & Francis Group in December 2013. These works have been adopted by universities for training purposes and remain relevant resources within the field despite ongoing changes in regulations and best practices. She has also contributed chapters, including "Food Safety and Quality Management Systems" to Elsevier's Encyclopedia of Food Safety and "HACCP" to John Wiley & Sons' Food Safety Compendium.

Her articles have appeared in respected publications including Food Quality Magazine, Dairy Foods, Dairy, Food and Environmental Sanitation and Cultured Dairy Products Journal. As a sought-after speaker and trainer since 1997, Ms. Newslow has presented at events such as the Food Safety Summit, the International Citrus & Beverage Conference, the American Spice Trade Association meetings, and the Citrus Engineers Conference.

Born in Boston, Ms. Newslow enjoys rescuing dogs and cats, as well as swimming and boating during her personal time. She also enjoys traveling.

Looking ahead, Ms. Newslow remains committed to helping businesses comply with food safety regulations while empowering them to take ownership of their compliance systems, ensuring safer food supplies worldwide.
