His responsibilities include supervising the safety, customer service, logistics and inventory departments, as well as managing daily operations to ensure alignment with key performance indicators and the company's strategic vision.

At every organization where he has worked, he has implemented process improvements that have driven performance while fostering environments of inclusion and belonging.
Before assuming his current role, Dr. Jenkins was the executive director of operations for strategic projects and integration at Knight-Swift Supply Chain from 2023 to 2024 in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. He led initiatives focused on integrating business units and optimizing fulfillment strategies.
From 2021 to 2023, Dr. Jenkins served as a senior operations leader for distribution strategy and performance at H-E-B in Houston, Texas. He played a pivotal role in shaping distribution strategies and enhancing operational performance. Previously, from 2020 to 2021, he was operations director for fulfillment and leadership development at H-E-B, where he managed one building before expanding his oversight to two buildings and approximately 5,600 employees.
Between 2017 and 2020, Dr. Jenkins held the position of director of fulfillment operations for business turnaround at Stitch Fix in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. In this capacity, he was responsible for leading turnaround efforts within fulfillment operations.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Jenkins owned and operated a CrossFit gym from 2011 to 2019, demonstrating entrepreneurial initiative alongside his corporate roles. Between 2011 and 2017, he worked as operations manager for distribution turnaround and performance optimization at Target.
Dr. Jenkins' professional journey began with distinguished service in the United States Air Force. From 2009 to 2011, he was the director of global operations planning and strategic partnerships at Misawa Air Base in Japan. He also served as senior manager for operational readiness and training development from 2003 to 2011. During his eight years in the Air Force as an air weapons officer, he developed expertise that would later inform his leadership approach in civilian roles.
Throughout his career, Dr. Jenkins has been recognized as an expert in leadership, leadership development and education. He has been a member of Black Executive Men and Kappa Delta Pi National Honor Society since 2025, a partner with Black Leaders Worldwide and part of Vanguard of Black Gentlemen.
Dr. Jenkins' academic achievements have played a significant role in shaping his professional success. He earned a Doctor of Education in executive leadership from Houston Christian University in 2025. He also holds a Master of Science in sports management from American Military University and a bachelor's degree in biology from the United States Air Force Academy. While attending the academy, Dr. Jenkins played basketball and became the first freshman starter in 14 years; he remained in the record books for 23 years and ranks among the top ten for both assists and steals.
Reflecting on his career, Dr. Jenkins attributes his accomplishments to a steadfast commitment to reflection, adaptation and personal growth. Learning from past mistakes has enabled him to continuously improve and apply valuable lessons throughout his career. Refusing to let his circumstances define him, he has instead built a future on his own terms.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Dr. Jenkins is deeply involved in civic engagement and educational outreach. Since 2024, he has mentored students through Academy Four. He has also volunteered as a teacher for the Peer Assistance and Leadership Program at his son's high school. As the founder of the We Rock Leadership Collective, he promotes wellness, exploration, respect, ownership and quality through volunteer-based leadership programs focused on teamwork and end-to-end ownership.
Additionally, Dr. Jenkins leads Soft Skill Saturdays at his church each month, combining faith-based teachings with practical soft skills instruction. At another church, he teaches leadership soft skills to students in kindergarten through 12th grade through the 180 Ministry. Additionally, he serves as a Braven leadership coach, teaching college students essential soft skills.
Dr. Jenkins' thought leadership extends into digital media through several ongoing projects: "Dinner Conversations with Dr. V" airs every Thursday, featuring discussions about the importance of soft skills at home and work. "Intentional Mondays" provides ongoing insights, while "Soft Skill Saturdays" offers monthly guidance on personal development.
Notably, Dr. Jenkins' contributions have been recognized with several honors, including being named one of the Leaders You Need to Know by Black Leaders Network in 2026 and ranking among the Top 10 Global Influencers in Education at the Fluxx Conference that same year.
In his personal life, Dr. Jenkins enjoys fitness activities such as working out, traveling, reading and spending time with his family. Looking ahead, he aims to enter the C-suite to expand his impact within organizations while also pursuing opportunities to teach — fulfilling a longstanding goal to give back by preparing students for future workforce challenges through education focused on soft leadership skills. His dissertation explored equipping high school seniors with these essential skills so they are better prepared for evolving societal demands. Dr. Jenkins believes that amid rapid technological advancement, it remains critical not to lose sight of human values.
